so after apple annouched the new macs and high sierra *iew* is there any chance for beamng on mac now? the new os supports even vr right now and the hardware is plenty powerfull
From the FAQ page on the Wiki: Currently we can only focus on the Windows platform and we cannot say whether or not we will be able to support other platforms in the future. Besides, I don't know a lot about computers, but I believe the reason why BeamNG can't come for Macs is not because of the hardware, but because of the way BeamNG is coded or something. I might be mistaken too. In fact, I probably am. However, the quote speaks for itself.

Particularly when the mac is not powerful enough for vr. A gtx1050ti is more powerful than the most powerful mac excluding the iMac Pro. This vr on mac thing, you have to use their metal 2 API, not opengl or direct x and their demos looked pretty poor quality. Only the iMac Pro has significant graphics performance
And starting at $5000, it isn't exactly the most affordable computer. However, by PC Gamer's theoretical build log, it isn't overpriced (source). $1300 of that is eaten up by a 5k monitor, though. You could save at least $500 by opting to get a 4k monitor, like this Acer Predator.
