    I was bored.
    Mine are:
Hearing a VTEC engine go from idle to revline.
Hearing a diesel engine start up.
The smell of petrol while filling up.

    • The smell of gasoline/diesel
    • Hearing a 6-cylinder engine under load (if this doesn't sound satisfying, I don't know what does: )
    • Turn signal ticking/startup chimes

The sound of anything with individual throttle bodies, pretty much. What you hear is the sound created by the massive ammounts of air getting sucked directly into the engine, without a bunch of intake restrictions.
These engines are wonderfully responsive as the air has a very short distance to travel between the intake valve and the combustion chamber.

This makes them great for drifting, for example, as you have the best throttle response possible:

This is one of my personal favorites, an MR2 with a 20 valve 4AGE engine. This is probably my favorite sounding car ever :)
(Play some eurobeat while watching this and you have an Initial D episode.)

Oh man... the list could be endless honestly, but here are just some of my personal favorites.
    • The sound of a 4AGE Engine
    • The sound of anything that revs over 8ks
    • The sound of an idling cross plane V8 (or 4 cyl if we count the one from Yamaha)
    • Those lovely crackle and popping noises you get when you let off of the accelerator and are decelerating with the engine.
    • The sound of any engine at its exhausts resonant frequency (my bike is at 5k to 7k and it sounds fantastic)
    • Anything with a proper performance exhaust
    • Nailing perfect Heal-Toe downshifts in anything with a gearstick
    • Rain drifts
    • Anytime there is countersteer involved
    • When you push your car through a corner just hard enough to let the tires start to squeal for mercy
    • The look of your car reflected in a building as you drive past
    • POP ALL THE HEADLIGHTS
    • The look of specialized intake runners and headers on a highly modified engine
    • The clean look of a stock car... no matter what it is... as long as its stock
    • The proper look of a properly set up streetable race car
    • Making fun of ricers (as much as we all hate them, we enjoy having them around for this)
    • The laugh I get every time someone thinks they have a fast car and then point out their stock CRV, Taurus, Malibu, or Civic
    • The RIDICULOUS amount of people that want to race me on a daily basis just because I drive a sports car
    • Conquering a tough bit of terrain in a big truck
    • Conquering a tougher bit of terrain in a silly car that was never meant to go there
    • Buying ultra cheap cars off the internet to do silly things with
    • Buying ultra cheap cars and turning them into rally cars
    • Making your own version of TopGears Cheap car challenge videos
    • ect, ect, ect, ect...

the smell of gas, exhaust fumes from a old car, automatic column shifters, air condition, worn out leather seats, the sound of a old v8 idling, hand-crank windows, etc.
