Re: Cessna 120 //Now Flying and with working // Nice job Fundador! Felicitaciones mi amigo! Two awesome planes on BeamNG.DRIVE that's gonna change everything! I can see a fighter jet sometimes in the future. Keep up the good work!
Re: Cessna 120 //Now Flying and with working // Woops haha Literally it ake minimal credit for the creation of this plane, all i did was the modelling. The rest is down to Kamil_ (J-Beam and Miura help with the torque driven prop)
Re: Cessna 120 //Now Flying and with working // I'm sure this was supposed to be a pm xD Also, don't forget to credit Miura; huge help with the propeller Modelling is the hard part
Re: Cessna 120 //Now Flying and with working // is it possible to make certain parts detachable because that would be awesome
Re: Cessna 120 //Now Flying and with working // Indeed it is. I think were aiming to get a beta release done asap but potentially in the future
Re: Cessna 120 //Now Flying and with working // iv'e been following this plane's progress, and i just love it. it's going really really well! many people are eager to fly this but obviously, dont rush! i have one question though, sorry if someone else asked and i missed it; does the engine currently have its own sound? or will we hear a cars engine for the plane? xD, not that i mind much since im more interested in the flying part, but i'm rather curious
Re: Cessna 120 //Now Flying and with working // Its currently a car engine sound but it sounds a lot more like a plane as the prop spinnning gives it a chop chop chop kinda sound haha There's still a reasonable amount of work to do but a lot of it lies in strengthening parts of the Jbeam and properly exporting the mesh.
Re: Cessna 120 //Now Flying and with working // Looks awesome, but one thing about your post Please use the same units
Re: Cessna 120 //Now Flying and with working // Progress! There is still a few things left to do, but expect a beta soon Like..um..it has no doors
Re: Cessna 120 //NEW UPDATE! now with video of flight. // Wow, that deformation looks really close, would love to see a slower crash, like a stall/spin from low altitude. This is going to make for great screenshots, I've always thought Cessna made a really photogenic airplane, none of them look bad on camera (not even the Caravan).
Re: Cessna 120 //NEW UPDATE! now with video of flight. // That's very true, even the caravan looks good!
Re: Cessna 120 //NEW UPDATE! now with video of flight. // Were getting closer and coser by the minute ;P a few finishing touches and she'll be ready. Kamil has strengthened the frame a bit (it was a bit floppy in the tail before) and it handles really well now. I made a couple of last touches to the model and were just compiling it all together! There's also a bunch of different cams now (interior exterior, nose and wing tip)
Re: Cessna 120 //NEW UPDATE! now with video of flight. // Judging by the video I think it's flexing/jiggling a little too much? Maybe add some more reinforcement beams and/or see how high you can raise the beamSpring. EDIT: Oh, just saw your post. Good to hear
Re: Cessna 120 //NEW UPDATE! now with video of flight. // Two posts up, he said they strengthened the frame. EDIT: Never mind, you found it.
Re: Cessna 120 //NEW UPDATE! now with video of flight. // Hmm, I envy you right now, but I hope that I won't have to for much longer *cough* FundadorBetterBeAFastFinisher*cough* Don't worry, I am not rushing you, because you have been making good progress Fun, so I would imagine this will be out in a day or so. Also, I think I have gone more down than you have (+1 for new grammar style):
