Truck2JBeam doesn't work all that well... The products of automated conversions rarely work properly. Due to the significant differences between .truck and .jbeam file formats, most subparts would have to be done from scratch in most cases. The main objective of this mod redesign was to make the mod modular: as it is, it can receive different bodies, engines and chassis setups, while some basic subsystems and assets will be shared.
Are you guys goanna make it to where we can break the planetaries eventually? or can i do that already and i'm just blind lol
Planetaries are just functional devices in the powertrain tree. They can "break" when the axle beam fails, but can't (and shouldn't) break off completely.
@FLyInG 2 YoUr SoUL , would it be possible to bump up the acceleration on this truck. Cause, a Merlin 1450hp is an extremely powerful engine that doesn't need much to get 20-30 feet of air. A driver can literally tap the throttle 2 times with a small pause and still get enormous air. Just something to bring up.
It helps, but it still isn't there. It needs a big "Bolt" when you hit the throttle. Some trucks are able to do a power wheelie with this huge "bolt." Just something to bring up. Keep in mind, it's mostly in the Engine power, not necessarily in the transmission or transfer case.
did some testing and well, even tuning it, i couldn't get much more air time. then again, it may be suspension related tuning that i didn't do. (prepare for pic dump)
^ Most of the tuning seems to only go into the Transmission, and Axles. It needs more "Engine" power of you catch my drift. These trucks have an average of 1500 HP. Like I said before: these trucks may be 10,000-13,000 pounds, but they have power like no other.[/QUOTE]
Well I'm afraid the current setup is as close as this mod might ever get to realism in this sense. Stock engine produces 1500HP, tuned supercharger boosts power to about 2100HP. That though means higher top speed, not better or more sudden acceleration. For that you need to adjust the rest of the powertrain tree. Power, weight and powertrain settings are all spot on. All we can do is to adjust the adjustable parameters or boost settings to unreasonable/unrealistic levels. I can't just put this magical "bolt" in the powertrain.
How do I know, you didn't just line that truck from the Opposite side of the stadium before hitting the jump. What I'm saying is, is that the speed is there, but the truck should be able to hit 2nd gear almost instantly. The type of speed currently or more for racing than freestyle it seems like. Just pointing something out.
So gear changes are too slow/high in your opinion? That can be changed. I'll do some testing and report back.
