I've had BeamngDrive for a while now and had no problems with mods, until now. When wanting to download/install a mod, the green auto install button is missing. So I try to manually install the mod(once its done downloading). I normaly don't have troubles with this. When I open the mods folder and the downloads folder I cut and paste it in the mods folder. I then open my game and it doesn't recognize the mod. I then saw a vehicles uncompressed folder inside the mods folder. I put the vehicle mod in the folder and the game recognized the mod and it showed as 1 more mod in the game. I also downlowded a map mod and put it in the vehicle folder(inside the mods folder), and it worked. It showed up as unrecognized(the icon that specifies if the mod is a map or vehicle was a ?). I unpacked it and I really know what that does. if anybody knows why the green button is missing or anything about the files please answer. Thank you.
1: some mods don't support the auto install feature 2: where exactly do you put your mods? It's usually your documents > beamng > mods 3: also you just cut the zip file it is enough
How to enable the green button: https://wiki.beamng.com/Installing_Content It's only available for mods in the 'Mods' page. If you want to install mods manually (see last bit of that guide above), you need to make sure the mod you are using is not utterly old. If it is, it is also very likely packed the wrong way, and won't work unless you fix the folder structure (ZIP > 'levels/vehicles' folder, depending on what the mod is > 'modname' folder > all the various files)
--- Post updated --- thank you for your help but for some reson I didn't do anything and the green button randomly poped up, idk why, thank you for your help anyways.
