I'd argue to the moon that NASCAR is better, but I can't be bothered. However, they're both better than Formula 1.
You know something is wrong when a child nearly dies on a train because they opened the bathroom door and the floor was missing... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-40555782 What sort of rail engineer ok'ed that for public use? Especially on a recreational train? and who though it was a good idea to leave it unlocked?
To be honest I would put NASCAR and F1 on the same level. They are both hyper commercialised (NASCAR coverage even more so compared to UK F1 coverage?) and I would probably be equally contempt watching either (as long as I don't have to watch US style TV), certainly wouldn't go out of my way to watch them though. As a spectator I would 100% rather go to see F1, stadiums are horrible places to be and with F1 at least I can enjoy watching them take the lines and move around. Other motor sports events like the BTCC and Ginetta's are something I can always enjoy a tonne. You can walk around the track to get views from lots of different places meaning there is tonnes of variation, usually loads of food stalls at generally fair prices and loads of stalls with interesting stuff happening. Not to mention you can walk around the back area's of the pits as well as wondering around the Team tents watching people work on the cars and talking to the drivers. Rally is pretty great too, but that is just cause I like watching cars traverse rougher terrain at speed, usually less food and amenities which does suck a little.
Nothing beats rally racing in my book, though. In other news, it finally arrived: (PSP for scale) It's an HQR X5, it cost me $20, and it's good enough for government work.
Rip for all the 16 US Soldiers who were killed yesterday In a KC-130 crash in Leflore County, Mississippi.
Question for the resident audio people. My speakers make a really awful high pitched noise constantly, doesn't matter what volume level they are set at, the volume of the high pitched noise remains constant. The noise comes through the L,R and Centre channels, as far as I can tell not the rear channels, but they seem pretty hissy so not sure if I would be able to hear it through them, the sub rather unsurprisingly is not making the noise (would be impressive if it did mind ). I have tested my soundcard with headphones and it is very clean (other than when the GTX970 ramps up, gets a little noisy then, not noticeable when playing audio), equally if it was the soundcard I would expect changing the volume dial on the speakers to have an effect. The speakers are connected via 3x 3.5mm jacks, pretty sure the speakers turn that back into digital for processing then back to analogue again. Is this an issue that can be easily diagnosed? If so, any guesses?
