So I booted up my computer the other day, and noticed that there was no audio. For anything. Then, I noticed that my computer had a little icon on the audio widget thing with a red circle with a white 'x' on the inside. I clicked on it(this is where the audio widget thing normally is, no viruses), and it said that there was an issue with the drivers. In the troubleshooter, it said that there were no audio devices or drivers present. I have tried updating all of the drivers and everthing seems to be up to date. I haven't been connected to WiFi for the past few days, which is why I haven't reported the problem. If anybody needs to know what kind of computer I have for this, I have a Lenovo Yoga 710 15".
    THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED!

Windows 10. Does a system restore delete all of your files or not?

It should not delete any files outside the system directories. If there is file added to the system directories AFTER the restore point, when you go back, all those files will be deleted, like they never existed...

it does not mess with your files, only programs and settings
drivers are commonly installed programs, so it should fix it

Basically, a restore file that is a snapshot of the system files.
    --- Post updated ---
How to roll back: In search, type in Create a restore point > System Restore > Next.
Click on "Show more restore points" then select the restore point to prior to the problem. Then next. You are on your own because I am not system restoring my PC. It works fine.

No no no no, please don't do that. I've had that problem happen to me before my shitty Logitech G35's broke on me. I've fixed it from restarting my computer to unplugging them and what not. Yes, I've seen that you have tried to update drivers but you need to uninstall them and reinstall them
    Step 1:

    1. Click on Start and in Start search box type in "Device Manager" (with quotes) and press Enter.

    2. Device Manager Window will be open

    3. Double click on that device (sound drivers or whatnot). (It will show you the list of device drivers).

    4. Right click on the device driver and select Uninstall.

    5. Restart the computer.

    6. Re-install the latest device drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

    Then try this

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...op-windows-7-automatically-installing-drivers

if it fails to work, then just do a system restore but that takes time so try everything and use that as a last resort. Try searching all over the internet about this issue.

    Try these

But for gods sake, you can simply type in Google : "Lenovo Yoga 710 sound issue". or something along the lines of that. I found all those links in less than 10 minutes. No need for this hassle of system restore.

Yes, and please try all those links before you do system restore. Don't waste your time doing it unless you actually need it when all plans don't work.

Great idea, but he said that his driver was missing, and uninstalling it in device manager wont work.
and, trying to find the right driver on the lenovo website may take a while. I built a couple custom lenovo's and man it took forever to find the right ones. System restore should just bring it right back

Fr though, you don't need system restore to fix some of the easiest stuff to fix. Unless all else fails, just stick with the easier solutions.

There was recently an update to Windows 10, you should always make sure your Windows is in the latest state before getting worried about an issue with your computer. If you click on the sound Icon it should give you options on where your sound will come out, select something that you have other than your computers sound system, if no audio comes out, make sure your drivers are up to date with the ones on the internet, Windows Support is always a good way to ask someone who is experienced with computers on what to do. If you were to go to the official windows site and check for newer drivers and you downloaded them and nothing changed, then you should look into the issue, most times someone on the internet has encountered the same issue and has gotten answers on possible solutions, make sure you do your research before bringing it to a technician, if the repair isn't free make sure you get a price before hand, that way you know what your getting yourself into.
