War thunder isn't too much of a physics based game to begin with. This is like War Thunder on testosterone booster.
Yea but would be very hard to predict thousands of nodes and beams, the good thing is that only one computer would handle the physics behind each cars, then it would only be information transmission, I guess ? (alot tho)
I have no idea, but it's irrelevant when nobody has to care about the exact position and velocity of every node every frame. --- Post updated --- It would need the power of your desktop, assuming a relatively limited car capacity. Assuming threadripper gets server motherboards, typically max of quad socket, you could have 256 cars simulated at normal speed on a single server that cost only a few thousand bucks. Clearly some overhead is required that might lower that amount a little, but it wouldn't be that hard. The problem is the network bandwidth and latency.
Besiege multiverse is also going to use predictive multiplayer, by separating the creation into 'chunks' and then predicting how those chunks will move.
I kinda imagined, but what's it worth for us? I mean, can i use it to be able to have more cars loaded or something like that?
Everyone thinking multiplayer is impossible lol. Chris_lucas and some other guys managed to get multiplayer working I haven't heard anything from them since like March or Smth
It's AMD's soon-to-be-released line of Ryzen chips with up to 32 cores/64 threads per chip. It's gonna be p good breh.
Your heart is in a good place, but I'll correct you. Ryzen are AMD's Consumer CPUs, topping out at 8c/16t with 24 PCIe lanes and dual-channel DDR4. Threadripper are AMD's HEDT CPUs, topping out at 16c/32t with 64 PCIe lanes and quad-channel DDR4. EPYC are AMD's Server CPUs, topping out at 32c/64t with 128 PCIe lanes and octo-channel DDR4.
Okay, so that means all this threadripping is useless for us clients. But the tech is there for BNG to set up huge servers when online is a reality. Is that the point?
The point is the vast majority of people won't know the difference between Epyc, threadripper, and ryzen, and you can use whatever name sounds the coolest whenever you want, like most people do. Epyc is retarded. I'll always use threadripper.
It also doesn't have intervehicular collision. It is essentially the same as the multiplayer from ROR. This is not what people are thinking of when they say they want multiplayer.
Well that doesn't really matter. As long as you can go racing with friends and having an offroading session, that's all you need. RoR had inter vehicular collisions iirc in a earlier version but it was removed because of instability iirc.
