Definitely not illegal as a whole. If size would be an issue, semi trucks would be illegal alltogether. The Ford F-650 when stock is already much bigger than the lifted D15 I think, same with the Marauder(yes, that thing can actually be bought by anyone, if you have the money).

And if you're driving a Fiat 500 and any SUV rear-ends you, there's a pretty good chance you're dead, regardless of the speed it hits you with.

When the wheels aren't allowed to stick out from underneath the fenders, it's afaik always because of danger to pedestrians, because they can get caught by the wheels too easily.

Any protrusions from the general shape of the car aren't really suitable for the street. To be legal the car needs to deflect pedestrians off of things that will mangle them. so no, tyres sticking out from the fenders aren't a good idea. so yeah, they are illegal. As is a knife sticking out of the hood, and massive spikes on the front bumper. Basically if it produces more fun when you mow down pedestrians, it is illegal. Sorry carmageddon fans, its true.

Either I'm surrounded by lawbreakers or it's not illegal, because I see trucks lifted this high or higher with even bigger tires almost daily.

I see quite a few people who have it like that too, definetly not illegal in the USA. (I am guessing that's where Gabe is too.)

its fine if your wheels sit out past the guard, so long as you have some form of mud flaps and flares to prevent debris(gravel...) from flicking up and hitting oncoming or following cars and causing damage, but this law is not really enforced very often.

Is there going to be much off-roading in the game or is it up to the community to make some tracks and vehicles for it?

You really are posting these to hype us up lol. This game/sim looks such an amazing amount of fun... Great work!

Not sure if it's because of WIP, but I do think the headlight textures on this and the D15 could use some work. The glass is nearly see-through now, which on older vehicles wasn't the case.

The environments have a very natural and realistic look to them. I think that adds a lot of realism and depth.

I hope the driving physics are as good as good as the graphics. Naturally, asking for the handling to be like rFactor 2 or iRacing is asking too much - there is only so much you can accomplish as a small team with limited funds. But I think it should be possible to come up with fairly decent handling.

I'll be dissapointed if vehicles handle like they do in Far Cry 2, or even 3 for that matter - though they were somewhat improved in the 3rd installment.

Believe me, the vehicles will not handle like far cry, the vehicles on far cry were awful in my opinion. As for being like rfactor, well we can always hope they will be above that standard. I expect they will be very good but maybe not as smooth as in other games.

Actually, I hope that the driving is like an old game I play called GTLegends, of course, that was made for and only for road racing simulation, though flipping cars could have used some work in it.

You think the driving physics will be above Rfactor2 ?

That game is widely regarded as the most realistic sims there are, along with iRacing. There is very little chance of it being as good as RF2.
