    Hi,

I'm considering purchasing the Alpha. The last time i tried the demo with mouse and keyboard, i struggled driving fast card straight.

Is that still the same "issue"? Maybe i did something wrong as well.

Maybe because it's better with a controller, like XboX

    Cheers from Switzerland

It's just as bad with a controller i'm afraid. But imo it's still worth the buy.

What are you talking about? This game is great with a controller. And yes, you should buy it. It's worth much more than the 15 bucks they charge.

You should definitely buy it, it's well worth it and the cars are much easier to drive with a controller! :)

First, you want to make sure you can run it. You'll get about 10-20 FPS lower on vegetated maps than with the grid map in the tech demo. Also, you have to manually counter steer, though this will be fixed-ish soon. Next patch, I believe. It is better with an analog input of some type, but not un-playable with a keyboard either once you get used to it. More than worth the 20 USD I paid.

My pos computer can't handle the vegetated maps at a playable rate, even at low settings, so I usually stick to the test grid map, and it is still very worth the money.

Did you try Jalkku's racetrack? It runs fairly well no my POS netbook.

The handling and other things in the full game are vastly improved over the demo since the various updates we have released. The demo has never been updated since August 3rd.

If you have some kind of controller, it will make the game more immersive. Buy it!

That rig is plenty fast :) I have an i7-3820 and a GTX 580 and I can run it on medium-high settings at 40-90 fps (depending on map) at 1920x1200. Also, we have a big physics speedup coming in the next update. I used to get ~20 fps with 6 D15s; now I get 40+. Those with very slow processors will see an FPS boost with single vehicles too (if you used to get 15 fps with a D15, you will now get upwards of 20).
