Re: Gavril D15 6x6 I am using double leaf springs on the rear (one set per axle) on my x6. So when I have mine finished they should be quite different beasts to drive.
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 That is what I am glad about. These are two entirely different suspension setups. They may be two of the same type of vehicle, but they were made in a separate manner. That way, you both are happy with it.
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 ah thanks well, its a very good mod and it feels well planted on the ground and the only improvements I could add to this would be more options on the initial setup of the vehicle...or is that coming soon? I would kinda wanna see a race variant of this mod you made but its up to you when you build it
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 The idea behind having 3 axles is not so much for speed or acceleration, it's more for payload capacity and traction coming 2nd. (as far as I know anyways, someone with more knowledge might want to correct me) A similar vehicle with 2 axles has a lot less weight, complexity, unsprung mass, yada yada. In a speed/acceleration aspect, it will almost always do better than a comparable vehicle with 3 axles.
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 yeah I agree with you about the triple axle design its more for carrying than it is for sport I feel that if you gave it some super beefy off road tyres it would demolish most Off road courses a dual axle car or truck doesnt have the grip on some of the courses that the terrain makers make and they would slip all over the place for something like this it would be perfect for that you have double the grip at the rear than you would normally have so yeah get some off road tyres on this truck and put it through its paces on an off road course...
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 You also have to take into account size, a LOT of trails are tight, twisty. You don't want a full size truck with 3 axles moving about...
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 good point about the trail size also, what about for rock crawling could this be used there?
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 I really like this mod! I tested it now for over 30min and their are 3 things i dont like on this mod: -The front axel goes threw the front wheel (or is it like this in reallife ) -It´s a bit slow -I would like to have the standard (NON-Offroad) version with 6 wheels Anyways it´s a really nice, well-done mod!
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 That's how the axle is in real life. It has selectable locking hubs. There's 2 engine upgrade options. You paid for the game, use it. This is the normal one. :|
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 Okay...Don´t know their was another Engine... But i meant the one without offroad bumpers and Fenderflairs
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 thanks for the awesome truck dkutch, its perfect! EDIT just realized that after installing this mod the engine texture on the gavril h series and d series is missing, the engines turn into reflective white blocks. is this just me?
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 After reading on this forum withour posting, I couldn´t keep quiet when I found this mod! I like this mod alot! I hope you will do a proper offroad version of it, it kinda sucks in mud and crawling. So i have to ask, will it be one more suited for crawling/mud? I like your mods very much, and I really like that this truck has a solid front axle! A bit higher ride height, 40-44" crawlertires and a low range gearbox and this truck will be perfect! If someone think my english sucks balls, well, it´s because i´m from Sweden and I havn´t used english in like five years
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 This thing is awesome!!!!! Is it possible that you could also make one with the sfa and 4 wheels with those rims and tires, I love them! Thanks again!
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 I don´t think you can´t crawl with this thing! After dkutch told me their is a more powerfull Engine-option, i used it and tested it in Insangaz Testing-Map Crawl-Area and it was fine After reading your post i realised i have the same problem
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 I use the engine options and I still can´t crawl with it. I know I am the crapiest crawler in history but I think it´s possible to make improvments if dkutch want to I don´t have any texture problmes at all, everything works fine for me
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 Could you possible fix the part selector? It can be difficult tell what you're clicking when it says Gavril D15/D-Series infront of everything. Edit: Nevermind, I fixed it myself.
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 This is what we need in this vehicle...WE NEED MORE POWEEER! something super torque heavy hehe
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 This is a really nice mod of the D15, one of my favorite. If you select the stage 2 engine tuning option and lock all of the diffs, this is a pretty capable machine. P.S. I love these wheels and tires
Re: Gavril D15 6x6 Thanks. The wheels are actually straight off the box van, I just changed the offset to work. I'll have to look into that. Should be an easy fix. Thank you, I'm diagnosing this right now. It's an annoying by-product of nodes and beams sometimes.
