About competition, even as a single player game balance is necessary so some don't feel held back with superior hardware. We do ultimately want to embrace competition going into the future, we want to embrace physical reality, but of course on the other hand we don't want to make the experience impossible for simpler input methods. I will be happy if we can help users get into a level playing field, and teach good driving habits without frustrating them too hard (we initially were going to reject bad shifts like other simulators do, but opted for a more gentle penalty of grinding into gear after some delay). I may have been arguing a specific point but I am taking your criticism seriously, what I ultimately get from it is that we should find a way to make the clutch button timing less critical for the shift to avoid grinding/penalty. Considering the shift times are actually shorter in most cases than they were before the update points that the penalty and not the shift time itself is the cause of frustration. Before the update, even if you clutched wrong, it would still go in gear in the same amount of time, but cause unnoticed gear damage. I also don't mind if you make a jbeam mod to change the cars shift times, the jbeam is open for you to experiment with. If there ever comes a time when you do feel like sharing times in the forums just be honest about what you've changed
That's odd. I guess both are connected with the standard jack right? Or different? A video example of the audio problem maybe? (And logs from that session: https://wiki.beamng.com/BeamNG_FAQ#..._a_.27Support_Request.27._How_do_I_do_that.3F )
bit of an odd issue, but opening the options menu makes the powertrain app extend in size making it larger than what fits in the screen, but then opening any other menu reverts it back to original size. iv'e cleared my cache as i do with every update, and running minimal mods.
The sounds are a really big step forward... To bad the automatic gearbox is kinda screw up now, relaxed cruised is not possible anymore. But I see dev's already replied on that. Prefer the old way the automatic gearbox worked...D for a realistisch automatic gearbox and S for the late shifts.
I've been messing with the new update for a while and noticed that as of right now, I haven't seen any difference between using gas and kerosene. Is there something I'm not seeing or is it not implemented yet?
Cant seem to get my game to work, it loads up fine but wont let me play anything none of my scenarios work, I click on them but nothing happens. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!! I want to play some demolition derbies lol.
Disable mods if you have any. Verify your files, and eventually clean reinstall. All the steps are written in the first post.
The new update broke a lot of mods. You will have to be patient while the developers update the mods to be compatible with the new version of the game. Also clear your cache and run the same in safe mode to see if scenarios work then. Edit: Ninja'd by @Nadeox1
a problem appear today. GPU not responding. Is my graphic card is dead or my GPU ? Or its th game who have a problem edited: steam re load the file
No your GPU still works fine, I also get that sometimes but it'S not a problem with your GPU, since I'd need a new GPU then although I just got mine on christmas of 2015
