I think this thread should be moved in ''General Discussions'' .

That looks like a proper sequel to the original 'Flatout'. Loved that game when it first came out, so I cant wait to get my hands on it. :D

It does look like fun. Not exactly simulator physics, but It looks like fun.

The general mechanical/collision physics don't look realistic in the slightest but the debris looks cool.

I don't think users can move their own threads to different boards, but I'm pretty sure admins can. I would ask an admin (they have orange names) POLITELY if they can move the thread. If you're nice, the worst response you will probably get is no. The reason I say ask nicely is there was some appalling behavior on the old forums, and I don't think they want to deal with demanding/mean people here too. All they received in Rigs of Rods' final years was
    and
(Which, unfortunately, is already showing up here to a degree.)

An example I just found today:

(BTW, in addition to getting banned, his donatorship status had expired, so there was nothing to return.)

    IN SUMMARY,
I think they usually deal with people like this quite well, but I wouldn't blame them for being a little short tempered with idiocy of any sort at the moment. I guess the point of this rant is:
Feel free to ask the admins to move your thread because you put it in the wrong spot, just don't come across like a complete jerk and/or uneducated buffoon--although being a newbie is fine.

BeamNGis much better, your 'flatout 4' crashes is basicly an explosion of metal pieces everywhere, wheels doesn't come off, makes random sparkes and the and bumps is wierd.

The main thing that stands out to me is that the cars are clearly rigid bodies with no absorption of force whatsoever. In every head-on crash both cars' front ends lift up, which is dead wrong. In a real crash the energy is absorbed, the front stays in place, and the rear lifts up.

Good point, also I never really liked the rollover physics in their games. Never felt right to me. Flatout and other games like it will never compare to what BeamNG is/will be!

Valid point, but I'm not particularly interested in the physics of that game. I had a lot of memories with the original Flatout games, especially Flatout 2. Seeing the next generation of an older game is extremely satisfying. Yes, the graphics don't look amazing. However, I don't think it's fair for you to compare Flatout with BeamNG (not criticizing you or anything). In my opinion, the game aspect of Flatout 2 is far superior to this game, yet your physics are far superior to that game. Both games have positive attributes, but are too different to fairly compare. You both are making great games, and I'm equally excited for both.

I really like this kind of game, it is like that race I have been posting about (folkrace, jokkis etc.)
This isn't an simulator like beamng or ror this is a game about having fun with speed, jumps and cars not the verry reslistic way. Im not saying that beamng will be boring! Beacuse beamng will be the most epic racing game ever!
