ugh, did you ever think, that maybe, oh, i don't know, where some people come from, IT's DIFFERENT then that, because it is, because, see, where i come from, its actually caps for emphasis, italics for raising voice, and bold for shouting, and it doesn't say anywhere on these forums, that its the way you said it, so no, im not an idiot (far from it actually) and no, i wont stop posting here, and no, i wont shut my "mush" UGH, sometimes, these forums really irk me. @OP oh yeah, there's that message at the front of the forums having to do with the vision, completely forgot about that.
Open world driving simulator, most likely. We want to cover as wide a range of vehicular activity as possible, and make it work with some kind of single player career mode. We also really want to implement cop chases. We're thinking there'll be some kind of big event board, and you'll buy used cars in randomized states of disrepair to fix up and upgrade to enter in said events; things like delivery missions, point to point races, rally races, circuit races, demolition derbies, and other specialized missions (whatever ideas we/the community can come up with). There will always be a core sandbox mode like what we have now, where you can spawn in any cars and do whatever you want with them, but the goal for the "beta" phase would probably be gameplay like what I mentioned above. We might have some kind of "instant action" mode too, where you can just pick an event type, choose the parameters and vehicles, and go (without any career mode implications).
I like the sound of that! Any chance of this ever going on console? The xbone probably has better hardware than any computer I'll own in the foreseeable future...
no, consoles are not powerful enough, even next (well, now current i guess) gen consoles, such as the xbone, and ps4, if you want to play with a playable fps, i suggest getting enough money, to buy parts to build a gaming pc
Well, beta implies feature complete, but not finished (i.e. buggy, unpolished). BeamNG.drive beta would be a pretty well-fleshed out game.
Re: What to expect from "full version" Next time read the FAQ. Like already mentioned above, it is not going to be on consoles. - - - Updated - - - When It's Done.....
Well, my bad. Looks like they updated the FAQ. But in the old one I saw that BNG isn't going to be on consoles.
Actually its hardware is actually terrible for a PC. 1.75ghz octa core AMD APU. Seriously. It is on AMD's newer jaguar architecture, and get this its actually 2 modules but unlike the FX series the jaguar modules are 4 cores per module not 2. The GPU for this new jaguar based APU is AMD GCN based with 12 compute units for 768 cores at 853MHz. The PS4 is also using a new jaguar 2 module APU, but with 18 compute units on the GPU (1152 cores) and a base clock of 1.6ghz, although it is thought that the PS4 supports overclocking itself to 2.75ghz as need be but will rarely do this due to cooling. It also has a secondary ARM coprocessor for background tasks. Not that powerful.
VIN666, what I've gathered from all of this is it's going to be a newer version of Street Legal Racing Redline. If you crash your car, there is no reset button. You have to care when driving, because one small mistake can cost you everything. I hope for degradation of parts from the engine (ex. if we're pushing a turbo to its max, it will wear down until it stops working). It should be the best street racing simulator and underground driving job game ever.
I was a big fan of the core concepts of that game; the execution, not so much You can be certain that some ideas from there will find their way into BeamNG.drive's career mode
Re: What to expect from "full version" SLRR is the only game of it's kind. it needs a serious overhaul to bring the game to 2013 specs. But i have been a fan of SL since day one. It's a shame that the devs didn't put to much effort into the game. Image SLRR meets, Forza graphics and control, and the destruction of Beamng and still remaining an open world sandbox. With illegal street races at night with cops. Cruising during the day, heck even some tracks for drifting and racing. The storyline could be a struggling shop coming up in the big time, but in order to raise more funds you have to race in illegal races. i don't know just make an updated version SLRR already lol. - - - Updated - - - which concepts would that be if i may ask?
