This is our fourth championship. Please completely read the rules so you know how to participate, and also so you don't ask questions that are already covered. Anyone may participate. There are 20 scoring positions. Car: Thanks to Spec Racer Z and MattKowalski, we have premade configs for the following cars: I-Series Grand Marshall Covet Classic Pessima Sunburst SBR4* LeGran* * the front suspensions of these cars are prone to breaking on some of the bumpier stages. If you want to choose these cars, consider trying them on stage 2 to see if you are ok with the weaker front suspension. You must use one car for the whole championship. If you decide to post several submissions to the first stage, please make it clear which car you intend to use for the remainder of the championship. You are allowed to tune the premade configurations (with the exception of fuel load, which must remain full) but you must use the premade configurations as they have been balanced to perform at a similar pace. Custom liveries are allowed, but other part swaps are not allowed. If you are using keyboard, you are allowed to turn ABS on. The configs are part of the BRC4Files.zip attachment, explained below. Events: There will be 4 events over 4 weeks. To get a competitive score, you only need to participate in 3 events (see scoring). The events are played as time trials. Thanks to ClassyClassic for creating a circuit route, and thanks to ClassyClassic and CreasingCurve for helping to quality control the circuits. Super Car Rally (Jungle Rock Island). Ends: August 21 BRC 4 ClassyClassic's Rally Circuit (Utah), 2 laps. Ends: August 28 BRC 4 Asphalt Point to Point (East Coast, USA). Ends: September 4 BRC 4 Point to Point 4.2 km (Utah). Ends: September 11 All events are included in the BRC4Files.zip attachment, explained below. Event 1 is based on a scenario that is already in BeamNG drive, but is not available in game as a time trial. Scoring: There are 20 scoring positions. From last to first, the scoring is as follows: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 29, 33, 37, 41, 50 You will get a score for each event you participate in and scores are totaled to determine ranking. 1 event will be dropped, meaning if you participate in all 4 events your lowest score will not be included in your total. Participation: To participate, play these events as a time trials and upload a video of your best run by the posted date for the event by 22 UTC. If recording while playing prevents affects your performance, you can instead post a screenshot of the completion screen along with a replay of the event. To record a replay of your run, press Alt+R at before starting the event and then press Alt+R once you have finished the event. You can either record this replay as a video or post the replay file. Even if the replay is broken, post it anyway. If you need help recording replays, a tutorial can be made. You are allowed to run the course as many times as you want, and are allowed to post multiple runs. The best valid run that you post will be used to determine your placement. In your post, please include your video (or screenshot + replay) and whether you used a keyboard, controller, or steering wheel. Events end on the posted date at 22 UTC. Charts showing placement will be posted when the events end. Once the placement chart for an event has been posted, no more submissions for that event will be allowed. If you want to submit a time but the replay upload is taking too long and will put you past the cut off point, you can submit a screenshot of your time (the time trial completion screen). You must post the replay of your run within two days of the screenshot posting, and the times must line up. Stages and Cars attachment: The premade car configurations and all stages are added to the game through the BRC4File.zip file attached to this post. Simply download it and place it in your mods folder (usually found in C:\Users\<your username>\Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods). If you have any questions, please ask in the discord. Good luck! Hooray! it looks like I'm first 1:59.401 , XBox One controller used , no tuning , classic Pessima with brc4 config As a side note , I managed to to get the AI to do the whole course and it managed a rather dismal 2:14.884 with the same car as me.
Re did the track, got a replay, and set a new high score! 1:56:626 with the Legran no tuning. Racing wheel. 8/20/17 - I got to 1:49:something with the Covet in manual, but I didn't save it and now my computer's PSU crapped out, and the replacement isn't coming for a while. Guess that takes me out of the championship

I do not have much time to do the 1st stage since I will be away from my PC from the 17th to the 22nd, so here's the best time that I can do with the usable time. Stock BRC4 Sunburst, Manual, using a Xbox 360 Controller : 1:44.922
I too will be away until the 22nd (I'll still post the placement chart on Monday), so here is what I got with limited time. I may be drifting too much compared to what I usually do.
Wasn't sure if I was going to participate in this championship due to a bunch of life stuff throughout the month as well as an out of state road trip this coming weekend, but with the drop race ability I thought I may as well still try. Stock BRC4 Covet, manual transmission, Xbox 360 Controller, time of 1:42.870
Wow, Serzari, that's impressive. I think you even have more room for improvement if you lined the car up better for the gate coming out of the last corner. Best I can do is 1:46.622 with x360, manual gears w clutch assist. I think the main problem I have is diving too hard into hairpins. (Sorry not set up to make vids, I don't care if you invalidate my attempt )
Here is my time, only a high 1:47. Stock BRC4 covet, no tune this time and using an Xbox One Controller. If i'd seen Goosahs attempt earlier i would have tried harder, now its time to sleep.
Here is my best attempt with the Sunburst BRC4 @stage 1 ... 1:43.183 min. Driven with a wheel. Combining my second best times splits on the first 4 checkpoints with the fastest try overall, I would have been able to drop it down to 1.42.4xx min. But there were some nasty bushes killing nice tries all the time
Finally I should have some time to compete again in this championship! There was definitely room for improvement but as a first stage I am quite ok with it. Shame there isn't a race gearbox for the LeGran... Bruckell LeGran BRC4 w/ABS, 1:47.009 with a keyboard.
Happy American eclipse day, everybody Here are the standings following stage 1. It was a fun stage, I wish I got more time to explore the limits with it. Good show by everyone else, we're all within 10 second of first. Hoping to see more people join in for event two. @kaiser imnop Best of luck getting your PC sorted. @BombBoy64 it's sad your PSU went, hope you can fix that swiftly. If you're able to keep going in the championship, I'm happy to include your first stage time. @Goosah I'll take your time, but I would like to politely urge for in game replays at the least so we can all see how your driving compares to those around you. Also not sure how comfortable I'd be if you (or anyone else) ended up with a time in the top three that doesn't have a replay. I don't think I'll make the next event, and I was hoping this one would be a trial to see everyone's scores relative to mine to see how much I need to improve. Well, got lots of practice to do on my 20FPS laptop for the time being :/
