If you want to try experimental transmissions meant for this mod....
    - 8-Speed Auto with manual shifting options
    - heavy duty CVT transmission - never worry about being in the wrong gear again!
    - added weighted left and right toolbox for d-series bed. (standard, 300lbs & 600lbs options) This can aid in better rear traction, and also help stabilize the truck when towing heavy trailer (Just an added option for simulating a weighted bed)

    Zip file included.

Is the diesel sound working? It sounds like the regular engine to me. Other than that, it's a fantastic addon, the transmissions and differentials are a very nice touch.

You should hear only diesel sounds blended into the startup and during idling. I have played with sounds at higher rpm but it has overall sounded bad as of right now with how the beam sound system works, the default v8 sound is always playing and if I disable it, It breaks all engines sounds for almost all other vehicles in game. Waiting for a future beam update on how the sound system works.... Thanks for the the feed back!

Hi there. Just wanted to say that I've gotten your mod today, and I really do like the concept. Unfortunately, I've run into a problem: I can't actually get the D-Series trucks to drive with either engine, and I've tried holding down the V Key, holding the V Key down with the Up arrow, etc.; but the engine never starts under normal conditions-I've had to get the truck on a downhill incline for the engine to work at all.(unfortunately, that gave me some false hope for a minute)

Can you please help me out? If I'm somehow missing something, please let me know ASAP.....thanks in advance.

Sounds like you have a mod conflict likely... When you first launch the game, you will see MODS on the screen. In there, you can try either disabling all other mods or ones that are for or related to the d-series. Also are you using the most recent beam update? 0.9.0.5?

Thanks for the timely reply, MasterFluffy.

Yes, I'm using the latest version of BeamNG. Also, I do have some other mods for the D-Series, including one other diesel mod. I'll try to get back to the game soon, and see which mod(s), if any, were causing the problem.

Hi there, @MasterFluffy . I just wanted to let you know that I was able to fix the problem-another diesel mod I'd installed back in June was getting in the way. Worked perfectly fine after that, and thanks for a great mod!

Glad you got it working! Thanks, glad you like the mod!

FYI, I'm working on trying to get diesel sounds to work better at all the rpm ranges. Also in the next update, adding a feature of adding weights to the bed of the truck for better rear traction. Also noticed heavy trailers don't push the truck around as much with a weighted bed, more stable.

Let me know if any of you have ideas of what you want to see added to this mod series, maybe I try to add it.

Fantastic mod so far. Only thing missing is open differentials for the 2.75 ratio. And the turbo sound seems to be missing? I replaced your sounds with some legacy ones i had that are very nice. But nothing i do seems to bring the turbo sound back. Which is a shame to be missing from a TURBO diesel. :p

Uploaded a video here: Doesn't show anything particularly interesting aside from the sounds. Anoyingly the creator of the original sound mod took away the diesel ones. Not sure why. Based on that i am not sure if i could be allowed to upload them.

Glad you like it. I can add a 2.75 ratio open diff in my next update. Easy to add. Actually, I've been looking for improving sounds. Good sounds are hard to acquire though. I'll see if I can create spooling turbo sounds on top of the diesel engine sounds.

Was also wondering about if it's possible to not have a revv limiter. But rather a governor like most diesels have. So it doesn't bounce. But just sits at a given RPM.

After some testing. You can just set the torque to 0. and have the 'maxrpm' slightly higher. Then it will go to the given RPM and stop. But not bounce.

Also been trying to add turbo sounds.. But they don't function on the mod diesel.. But they do replace the default game ones.. I don't like this system.. XD

Depending on the turbo selected, the rpm limit is different. I'll have to look at it later to see if another way.

I was able to get turbo spooling sounds to work on my diesel sounds. I want to add BOV but the audio files are encrypted, you don't happen to have an available turbo_03.ogg file do you? This file use to never be encrypted, wish I got a copy before the beamng update 0.10

So, thanks to those sounds, I got a working turbo spooling sound playing on top of the engine sounds anytime your getting on boost. Its not perfect so I'm keeping the volume level a bit low for now. Hoping in future updates, there is a way to change turbo sounds depending on which turbo from the parts menu is chosen.

Also, got a rev governor system working using the revlimit option in the jbeam. Its not as good as changing engine torque values to 0 which would more slowly/smoothly stop the engine from over revving but it is better then it was and I think there is a future beam update that will make that type of change much easier.
