As long as the custom configs use stock parts and stock tuning (like my LeGran Custom that's currently dominating the championship), you're free to do whatever you want to the official vehicles.

Anyway...I just got a quick time on this new track with my LeGran today, using my keyboard. Here's the times: .
    All three laps: 3.34.241
    Best lap: 1:10.249
    screenshot_00792.png
I may be able to get a quicker time, though, so...don't count this as official just yet.

Should we count total time or best lap? I'm leaning towards best lap, but I'd like to hear your thoughts too.

How much power is that Pessima putting out? What drivetrain? What level of suspension, tires, and brakes? I'm assuming all-wheel-drive with at least the Stage 2 turbo, sport or race suspension (judging by the ride height), race tires, and either sport or race brakes. Either way, that's quite a cool-looking sleeper you have there.

I think that total time would be more reflective of overall performance. That's what I'm using to compare times right now. However, we can also keep track of our fastest laps to see how fast we are in one lap.

Anyway...just got an even faster time, both in lap time and total time.
    Lap: 1:09.295
    Total: 3:34.089
    screenshot_00794.png
I think that I could probably shave a couple seconds off that total time, though. I had a screwy first lap, and I think I could get into the 3:32s or even the 3:31s.

Yup, you got it all right, awd, race suspension and stage 2 turbo. Race tyres. Custom tune.

Well...you may not like the sound of this...but I minced your 360-horsepower Pessima with a lightly-tuned LeGran Custom, which you can check out the tune for here. The only changes I've done compared to the standard Custom are switching the tires and brake pads to race ones, adding the luggage rack spoiler, and changing the flywheel to an ultra-light one.
New best times which I don't think I could ever beat (over my previous record):
Lap: 1:08.850 (improvement of 0.495 seconds)
Total: 3:27.950 (improvement of 6.139 seconds)
    screenshot_00796.png
    (done with a keyboard)
This...this may prove that the LeGran is the most OP car for autocrossing ever, or I'm just amazing at autocross.

Oh, dang...then again, my car's down 155 horsepower, two drive wheels, and an independent rear suspension on that thing. Still...that is crazy-fast, my friend. Good job, and now I know that the LeGran isn't as OP as I thought it was.

Yeah dude gj you too. Surprising how you can run so fast times in such a low hp car.

Is it alright if I change the rear tires on my LeGran to sport ones, or do I have to stick with race tires all around? After all...I think I might be able to go even quicker with sport rear tires.

Alright, good to know that I can change parts and settings. However...I found out that I'm 2 seconds a lap slower with sport rear tires vs. race rear tires, so I'm keeping the race ones on. Dang, it's going to be ultra-frustrating trying to make a 203-horsepower, beam-axle-equipped, front-wheel-drive doo-bag go faster than a Pessima or a Sunburst...
Anyway...new best times (improvement over previous record):
    Lap: 1:08.000 (0.850 seconds)
    Total: 3:26.500 (1.450 seconds)
    screenshot_00797.png
Not sure if the replay file I've included is correct, though.

But I hope to shave that total time down to a 3:25 or even a 3:24 by tomorrow...which will be doing well for the car I'm using.

You know how I said that I couldn't beat my previous records? Well....I've just beaten them, both in lap time and total time.
    Times (improvement over previous record)
    Lap: 1:07.745 (0.255 seconds)
    Total: 3:25.486 (1.014 seconds)
    screenshot_00799.png
If I can break into the 3:24s...I wouldn't be surprised. I outbraked myself into a couple corners, and some areas were a little scruffy, but still...I'm within half a second of a 360-horsepower Pessima being driven by a man with a controller. That's an impressive feat all by itself.

Alright...I just did the incredible right here. #1 spot with a LeGran and a keyboard.
Lap: 1:07.350 (0.15 seconds behind my record of 1.07.2, which I set in a slower total time)
Total: 3:24.640 (0.846 seconds faster than my previous record)

Just changed the front tire pressure to reduce oversteer and made a shorter gear ratio. Pessima takes the #1 spot once again. Gg.
    Fastest lap: 1:07.146
    Total time: 03:22.296

    So...first one off the bat.
    Lap: 1:14:779
    Total: 2:31.027

Now, admittedly, this was done with a car that had been stripped of most of its interior and the front bumper support, but yeah, I think this could be improved.
