It mounts on any table just fine. My only suggestion is to get a G27 instead of the G920, as the G920 is pretty much just a re-skinned G27 without an H-shifter :)

So true. Or A G25, whichever is cheaper. Most games that support the G27 also support the G25. When buying used WATCH OUT for non functional H shifters. My G25 I got used, the Reverse gear position is broken on the H shifter, so I have to map the 6th gear to be reverse.

Having owned both a G27 and a G25 I would definitely recommend the G27. For a very small price difference you get a much better steering wheel. The G27 is much smoother, quieter, and generally feels better than the G25 (The g25 has straight cut gears, whereas the G27 has helical gears that make it feel much smoother)

The only disadvantage is that you lose the sequential shifter, but that never really felt any good for me anyway in the G25, and as a result of the different mechanism, the G27 shifter feels much nicer.

Wait is the G27 really almost $1,000 or is that just a glitch on amazon?

Glitch, I guess... I don't think it would be that much even if it be a never opened box

What do you think about getting the G920 with the G Driving Force Shifter, because that'd be $450 total for a new set rather than a new G27 from Newegg for $650
    -Update-
Or I guess i could go for the used route... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Logitech-G2...el-/202048958494?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368

I believe that's because Logitech 'replaced' the G27 with the G29 in their wheel lineup. Anyone hear tried the G29?

Its true, Logitech replaced the G27 with the overpriced, mechanically equivalent G29/920, and removed a packed in H shifter to try and steal more money from people who wanted a bundle of pedals, shifter, and wheel.

The G27 is super outdated by today's standards, and the G29 is also as outdated since it keeps the same gear system, instead of using a more modern system for its FFB.

Sure it might be the Driving force GT combined with a G27, but really, if you're looking for an absurd amount of buttons, just play your game with the damn gamepad/controller. And for beamNG, Really right now, you don't need an absurd amount of buttons anyway.

Hell Sometimes I wish I had a Gamepad for when I am working on vehicle mods and want to test drive them, but really don't want to mess with my wheel.

Don't buy the G29/920 unless its cheaper to get it and the H shifter instead of buying a used G27, or someone gives you the wheel as a gift.

I bought my G27 used (it was 6 months old when I got it, and it's almost 2 years old now) and it's been working just fine :) it also cost me the equivalent of $210 which is cheap compared to a new one.

I'll add my opinion here; get G27 because it has actually fully round steering wheel. It is also much cheaper than G29/920, and you don't have to buy the shifter as an accessory.

Also consider used higher end wheels, I got a bit lucky with a Thrustmaster T500RS including the pedals that was sold with an Alcantara rim as "broken".
The fix was literally a 5 minute job of cleaning the pedal potentiometers.

    Your risk, your choice.
I would say no, but if you can get pics from the seller, then maybe.

With these wheels its a matter of does it work, or is something tiny in it broken. Generally speaking these things are almost indestructible, however, when they do break, even if its just a simple part, they're really tough to work on if you are not a hands on do it yourself kind of person.

Watch out for the H shifter having broken gear positions, and the wheel itself not centering correctly due to some worn out components inside. Sometimes you can also find some used ones where things have already been modified for a racing simulation setup. Popular mods include things to stiffen the pedals to feel more realistic, stiffening the shifter to feel more realistic, ect. Just be careful, and watch out for things like this.

As of last night my G25 started making some really weird noises and the FFB is generally feeling like its completely broken, so I now am also on the hunt for a new wheel. Ironic that it happened after I started praising it :p

It's looking to me like a new G920 and optional H-shifter is cheaper than most full G27 sets I can find... I'm kind of nervous about the used route, like why would anyone want to sell a perfectly working and pretty recent wheel and pedals?
