probably. 4gb is a little low now.

I'm only using 4gb though so it does work ok, don't think I've run out of ram yet.

haha man it's cool. You still want ddr3 and 240 pin. 204 pin (pins as in the little gold things) is meant for laptops.

you would want something like this http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-1600...=1388718030&sr=8-2&keywords=kingston+8gb+ddr3

although that may not be the best price out there. I don't know.

    edit: found one cheaper http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-BLS8G...UTF8&qid=1388718161&sr=8-25&keywords=8gb+ddr3

I used to run an AMD FX4100 and GT520 graphics, About $120 dollars worth, Now I am running FX 4100 and GTX 660 ti, about $360 worth, both will run beamng on max, but the 660 will run other games on max too.

Cool, but I would most likely have to upgrade my processor if I want to get another graphics card.

These are all AMD APU's. What he's saying is get a motherboard with an FM2+ socket, it will be compatible with new APUs AMD will be putting out in the coming year(s?) as well as the ones out today. An FM2 board would only support the APUs today, meaning you would need to buy a new motherboard again for your next upgrade. Future proofing, LTE, whatever you want to call it, that extra $20 for an FM2+ board today is $80 saved a few years down the road.

Dude, dont hesitate to get the 6600k. for beamNG, runs amazing for no graphis card, just make sure you have fast ram. (1600 - 1866 mhz should do.) i have a 660 Ti, but when i run just cpu graphics, i get a good 35-40 fps on most maps, med settings postfx off.

I don't think the motherboard is going to change performance much, but 3.9 GHz is a massive step up, just look at getting an external graphics card, to make it that much better :)

    Yeah that's what I thought also, cause right now I have a 2.4 or a 2.7ghz processor ( A.K.A very weak )
Edit: Thank you all for your help and ideas!
