So, I want to make a mod that edits how the roamer's body looks, and I want to model it preferably in Blender. Is there a way to edit the existing roamer body? (including the jbeam)

    [edit] ok guys thanks :)

Firstly, navigate to the BeamNG folder (which is under SteamApps if you purchased the game using Steam). Once in the BeamNG folder go to content-vehicles and extract the zip folder of the vehicle you'd like to edit to somewhere you'lll easily be able to find (I recommend the desktop).

Now open Blender, delete the default cube, and click on file-import-dae

    Screenshot262.png
Navigate to your unzipped folder, and click on the dae file with the name of the vehicle.

The vehicles will generally have some shading problems when you import them, to fix this, just add an "edge split" modifier.

Now you're ready to start editing!

As for jbeam... That's quite difficult. It's best to make your model first and then do jbeam.

    Hope this helped!

    anyways, I have some questions.

1.) It has no texture in-game. how would i fix that?

    2.) I have it in-game as a seperate vehicle.

how do I make it a body choice for the original roamer?

    1) Because u will need to assign the textures to it. There are a lot of ways to do.
    2) to make it appear in original roamer
    Make this folder
vehicles / roamer / *your mod files

I hope this helps. Im not good at explanng stuff. Because my poor english skills. lol

Read the wiki. This is one of the only questions it answers.
