Recently I tried my luck at making a map in BeamNG. I decided I would try creating a custom object for my map. I made the object in sketchup, saved it as a .dae, and placed it in my map folder. When I loaded it up, everything appeared to work except that some custom textures, which I made for the object, were missing. I tried reloading the map, and this time the entire object was without any textures. Apologies if this is in the wrong section or if there's an obvious answer. Thanks
I have this same issue with random missing textures when using Sketchup assets in Beam. I don't know if there is even a way to fix this.
Well that sucks Kept reloading the level and each time different parts would have their correct textures, but never the entire object... Hopefully it'll work eventually.
I found out that if I have custom textures and normal sketchup textures on the same object, the whole thing would lose it's texture in the editor. I have to make individual objects and combine them in the beam map editor.
