Transfer to SSD

    So i have an ssd and i already transferd a couple games over and i was wondering on how to transfer Beamng to an ssd without loosing data. is it easy as copy and paste? Ive searched and found no results.... has anyone done this?

    yeah, just copy and paste, but a ssd wont help beamng at all,

    Yes, just copy the BeamNG folder out of appdata/local and paste it to your SSD (or if you picked an alternate directory, copy it from there). And it will help the loading times, and most likely reduce or eliminate the stutter caused when crashing a freshly loaded car for the first time. (This is caused by the game having to reference alternate "broken" textures for lights/windows). Other than that, BeamNG loads everything into RAM after it is first used, so beyond that point there won't be a difference.

    I beg to differ!! When I was running a raid 0 config with 2 120gb ssds.. My load times were so much faster than my old 7200 drive I'm having to use right now.. Takes forever to load into maps. Before it would take about 3-5 seconds to load dry rock island now it takes 10-15 seconds.

    Sweet.........in about 30 min, ill be all done... lol
    added note to my future pc build from your comment... ill definitely invest in high speed ram... :rolleyes:
