Soft body physics in this game look a bit weird, the damage system has to be a BIT revised. For example, parts cracking, different effect on crashes depending on the material of the car, oxidation when fire, maybe a polished explosion and fire system, etc
fire is already in game. And as discussed a million times before this stuff is low priority. It would also run down even the most premium of pcs.
i like this forum but i have to say - dont even bother to ask for any new features, no matter how small. the responses will always be the same.
Simply put the game will progress at the rate the developers see fit. The ideas/suggestions subforum is useless nowadays, because practically every single vehicle known to mankind has been suggested in the vehicle suggestions thread, and most ideas here have already been talked about. And then the last time around with the .gif stuff, it leads to nasty things the community doesn't like.
Agreed. All responses are 'it's in low priority', which I understand, but the dude actually had a point. The damage in this game need improvement. I am not talking about paint scratches, or dirt marks, I think that clipping, and glitching needs a ton of improvement. Don't get me wrong, I love this game, I am just giving some of my thoughts on it. The game is amazing, and has awesome physics, but it just needs a few things fixed. Of course, I am also going to be told off for even giving my opinion on the game, but hey, it's the internet. A place where you are critiqued for doing absolutely anything. :L
all these "suggestions" would naturally arise in the development cycle of a physics engine attempting to directly simulate reality, they aren't worth suggesting, if the company lasts long enough they would eventually get to it
The forum has been around for years. It is difficult to find decent suggestions that haven't been discussed already. No point in suggesting something where the response can be found with a quick search. Some suggestions do make it in, such as the larger Ibishu Treckers. The fact is BeamNG is a small company and can only do so much with the limited resources they have. Don't you think if the company had sufficient recourses to improve this game they would?
I agree with many here but not only this has already been discussed but the idea of getting the damage to work more and more realistically has always been high priority. The game is still in alpha and compared to the pre steam release the damage model was a LOT more glitchy. So dont worry about requesting the game to improve its bugs, that's already in progress.
