No.. that's not my point, if I walked up to a random person, anyone on the street, and have a discussion about trucks, and I mention the Titan, will they all say the same thing? No. I've met people who ask what I drive, I say I drive a Mercedes, of all the people that had asked me that, it's a mixture of answers and opinions.
The Volvo I drive is mechanically sound but it has the nasty habit of connecting to my phone while in Bluetooth mode and then saying "Connect Device" when it should do that, thats the only fault with my car but I will soon have it fixed....as for my family probably the second Saab 95 Hot Aero Estate, the gearbox broke in it, a linkage for 5th gear that made it kept sliding out of gear, after that my dads first Jaguar XF, it had an utterly f***ed DPF filter that couldnt be replaced unless it was a £1000 replacement due to its location so it was NEVER fixed but thats about it
dodge caliber - it was ok but was never in a gear, always just shifting Mercury milan - all-around piece of crap
Subaru Tribeca Burned oil all the time Wasnt comfortable Dealership did not fill it up with oil, ruined the engine and they denied it. Burned oil even more now from damage
I've only had 2 cars - a 1998 Buick Regal LS (3800 V6), and a 2000 Lexus ES300 (3.0L Toyota V6). Out of those two, the Lexus has been less reliable than the Buick, but it is still more reliable than most cars. The only two issues I had with the Buick - which had 133k miles - were dried vacuum hoses and brake failure, the latter resulting in a crash (I still love my Buicks though). On the Lexus, which has 154k (I have owned since 147k), I have had to replace all 4 shocks, the master cylinder for the brakes, and ignition coil #5. It also throws the TRAC OFF and Check Engine lights which is just a code that disappears when you clear the codes, and starting yesterday there's a short causing the left brake light to intermittently go out. The only reason I had to replace the shocks, master cylinder, and ignition coil is because my grandpa, who owned it before me, was kind of behind on basic maintenance. I would recommend both cars to people looking for a reliable car, but personally I prefer the Buick simply because I enjoy the ride of a luxo-barge better than anything sporty.
1995 ford van. dad paid 500 bucks, saw the mechanic at least twice a month for rust issues and weak brakes. Most reliable our 96 accord, 239k miles and neglected but started first crank till the trans went on it (thanks to my driving
Mazda MPV hands down. That thing broke down everytime we went more than 30 miles at a time. Nobody could figure out why it was doing it either. The motor would just cut right out.
A 1952 Standard. Always a battery fault, and it broke the gear pin for the linkage in the gearbox. Still going though.
Alot of people I know had a Renault Clio as their first car. Most, if not all of these people have a problem with their car, or have had it broke down.
I have a clio now, a 1.2 sport 2006 , its broken lol gearbox and subframe are on the floor in my mums drive
So my 17' terrain has had some interesting problems so far... The biggest one is its appetite for oil so far... I have put almost a full bottle of oil back into the engine as it's seemingly burning it off during normal driving... I wouldn't be concerned if it was less than 100ml that gets burned off before 4,000mi. However 600ml before the first service is quite worry some... My other two problems have been a plastic trim piece that fell off (that was later re-attached) and a service order on the A/C unit...
"Fucking Peugeots" I can confirm, the fastest you'll go in a Peugeot is 40 MPH on the back of an AA van! Lol
we have a 2011 volkswagen GTI its awesome but it doesn't start every once and awhile (and if you try to start it again it will start) but its never broke down and we have a 2004 toyota sienna thats more reliable (never broke down once)
I just bought another 205 , for 250 quid , big mistake , its a right nugget lol as u can see , it only smokes a little, it has a very unique interior too
