Vehicles not changing gears.

I recently updated to version 0.10.1, and its really good. I like the new, more manly engine sounds. However, in any automatic vehicle, the car just stays in first gear and doesn't shift. It just bounces off redline. I even tried manually shifting it into 2, but it still doesn't shift. Reverse gear still works normal. I have to select the manual version of the car in order to get access to additional gears. Anyone else having this issue? I have 0 mods and reinstalled several times. I deleted the beamng folder in my documents.

Are you using a controller?
If so, please add the 'Pedals' app to your UI ( https://wiki.beamng.com/Editing_UI ) and check the 'brake' pedal.

If the brake pedal is slightly pressed, it would prevent the gear from shifting.
In that case, you more likely just need to increase the dead-zone on your controller 'brake' trigger.

I use an app called 'Monect PC Remote', so it's technically a controller. I will check this and post the results.

Edit: I changed the deadline thing in the controller settings, and the gears change! Thanks.
