What are guests?

Sometimes I see posts made by guests in the forums. You can't click on their profile but they have a name. What are those for and how are guest accounts created? It also seems like there are many guests online but I rarely see posts made by guests.

Here is a guest that I found

 

They are accounts that were either disabled/deleted by request or have special privacy settings enabled.

 

But also non registered folks, i thought.

 

Yeah, I thought the point of making a guest account is to use the forums without registering.

 

Interesting. I thought that when users got disabled/deleted, their account and everything related to it also got disabled/deleted too.

 

Tom999's account was deleted after creating the post that @ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ provided a link for.

 

Hmm, what I was thinking probably applies to permanently banned users then, or something like that. I actually don't really know.

 

so what you're saying is that if i made a guest account and raided the forms will my main acc get banned or is there no ip ban system in the site as of yet

 

You cannot create a guest account.
