See usually the home user doesnt really need more than 8gb of RAM, 16 if they want bragging rights. But that above is a damn good reason for it.
Computer: Case: Azza Hurrican 2000 / LCS Cooling/Radiator: 3x120mm Koolance CPU: ATI Phenom II X6 1100T GPU: AMD Radeon HD6850 w/ cooling block (unsure of brand) RAM: 4x2GB Corsair Dominator (8GB total) Motherboard: ASUS M4A8TD-V EVO Power: 875V Thermaltake Toughpower XT HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB Cars: Honda 919 (out of the factory) : CBR919RR engine fitted with cast iron internals (Dear Honda: want to know why the 919 didn't do so well in the US?) Exhaust: Sato Racing Ti Canisters
It's rare to pass 6gb, but the even number by 2s and 4s messes that up. Gaming rarely surpasses 8 GB with compute or encoding using ~16. Multitasking, rendering, and high-end encoding uses 32 fairly easily then VM will gobble ram.
I don't think I've posted this yet. The cables have changed since this photo; might be time for another photoshoot, lmao. (imported from here)
I'm guessing by the missing RAM that this is a WIP. On the topic of the RAM, I do wish I had a bit more. 8Gb of 1866 MHz RAM is fine for gamig, but I want to start up a Youtube channel and render 1080p videos. I'll be running a mic, camera, game, game capture software, and some other things. Looked on Newegg to see if I would want to get another GTX 660 ti, there are like 2 models left, and they're priced at around $200. -that moment when you realize your hardware is obsolete-
There's a single stick right next to the cooler. I didn't get any crazy fluoro pink neon xX420bLaZeItXx heat spreaders.
Well, my old PC qualifies to be in a museum. Here are the basic specs just for laughs. Saving for a new gaming PC in the meantime though. Operating System: Windows XP System Manufacturer: Custom built 2005 System Model: Custom Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs) Memory: 2048MB RAM Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT * Edit * Since this is also my first post, I would like to say hello to the Community. I am very happy to be here. Just found out about BeamNG and I am very impressed!
My rig is fair good imo was put together over the course of 2 years. Cpu: Intel Core I7 2700k (OC'd to 4.5ghz without touching voltages) Cooler: Corsair H100i PSU: Corsair AX850 Chassis: Corsair 550D Primary HDD: Western digital Velociraptor 1tb Mobo: Gigabyte Z68XP-UD5 GPU(s): Gigabyte 7950 windforce edition x2 Ram: G.Skill ripjawsX 8gb (2x4gb) @ 1333mhz Will get a picture up later I suppose
You know that if you don't touch the voltages your motherboard will automatically increased them as much as it thinks it needs right? Probably much more than you actually need... Use off-set, it's the best way if you don't want to change the voltage, select off-set and put it to -0.00 or +0.00 Pretty good rig anyway
Voltages seem stock, Idle it has a Vcore of 1.008, and under load its at 1.272, people with a 4.8ghz oc are apparently using a 1.48vcore so I think I'm doing pretty well, Plust the max temperatures are around 65 for the cpu as a whole, and 75 for a single core (today is pretty hot, usually its about 10-20 degree's cooler) Edit here is a picture of a stress test the day I oc'd it was quite a bit cooler that day.
I have a complety stock dell desktop PC with 12.0 gb of RAM 64 bit OS and x64 prossceor intel core i5-3340 CPU @ 3.10GHz and for the other stuff stock fan stock case for components the rest I have no idea (im not good with computers) because I cant open the PC up to look
Holy discontinued hardware! AMD FX-6100@ 3.3GHz, ASRock 970 Extreme3 Motherboard (Rev. 1), Patriot Gamer 2 Series RAM@ 1333MHz, Coolermaster RS-550-PCAR-E3 PSU, and an XFX Core Edition Radeon HD 7850 1GB, and a Xigmatek ASGUARD PRO Case. NOTE: This picture was take AFTER I cleaned it. There is no cable management in my case...
Pre built: Intel i5 4570 MSI P33 LGA1150 4GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz Corsair CX430 MSI R7 260X 2GB Seagate 250GB Windows 8.1 Works brilliantly - 40 FPS on BeamNG at 1080p Max Settings! (Just noticed that these pics don't have the GPU in, it does exist btw )
erm.... In your pictures... the card seems to be missing? unless I'm missing something ofcourse (I dont think I am, but I dont see a graphics card in either of your pictures )
