I've been learning JBeam for awhile now and I've been wanting to start making basic vehicles but it's difficult to start from scratch :\ Could an experience modder just throw together a starter Jbeam file for me to work with please :> I think it would be a good reference point for all mod making newbies to start out.

Bonus points for having all the necessary sections laid out with comments.

    JBeam Starter Template or tutorial?

This is my dream car from 6th grade. I plain to make it a on/off road race car with a 2.0L turbocharged ram air engine with around 500 hp . It will be very light and fast.

It's time some one makes YouTube tutorials from concept, creation to in game. or is that still far down the road? just the most basic of cars would do as a example for the basics. I would even be happy to do the model the work to get it started.

Explain to me how a "ram air" setup will work in conjunction with a turbocharger sucking air in.

Higher speed = slightly more low rpm horse power. At high rpm's ram air will be point less with a turbo, unless your in a none turbo version of the car. it's all to help out the bottom end of the engine.

The Ibishu covet is a good starting point. Just, delete all nodes and beams and create your own template structure, a simple box or something. Anyway, Gabester set up some good naming and file structure conventions, stick to those and remember to use //comments to keep track of whats what. You should find you won't want a complicated file to start scratch with.

Thank you! I remember skimming over that thread a while back. It makes a bit more since now.. A video explaining it would still be even more help. but that still helps a lot.
