Legendary unreliability, impressively high running temps, questionably cheap hardware, all complete with Windows Vista Home Basic, the 2007 Toshiba A200 was my first computer. Even though it black and blue screened about three times a week since first boot, flexed seemingly more than a cafeteria tray, burned my legs and fingers while browsing the internet, and its silver paint wore off most of the keys and buttons within a few months, it was still pretty special to me. In fact, it did actually run Portal and Garry's Mod. Of course, it wasn't very playable with props on the map, and fire effects never showed up, but I remember Sim Copter blowing me away with its diarrhea-colored 3D world at one time, too. Still not sure why I insisted on having the very cheapest laptop for sale in the whole store. Also surprised that the Toshiba Satellite is *still* going to this day, apparently.
I think the Dell Latitude Laptop is the worst I've ever experienced, it's laggy even without windows open
I nominate my first desktop (a HP Pavilion with Vista Home Basic) and my first laptop (a 2010 unibody MacBook). I personally think the HP was more shit because MS Office would crash whenever I attempted to close it. It was also laggy as balls and vista actually crashed when just running the desktop (causing me to reset the entire thing).
Any HP or Dell pc. Every single one from both brands fails to last a year with me or has major problems right from the start
HP gets too much hate. The computers are decent. But better if you have the knowledge to be able to modify them. I don't. Dell laptops always end up making whirring noises and getting hot
My dad has had his XPS 9100 since it was new in 2009. It didn't give him many problems, except the GPU died and had to be replaced.
Gateway laptops up until at least 2009 are junk. The batteries are just a joke, and after about a year you'll need to leave it plugged in, in order to use it at all.
Not if your talking about the 170$ shit box of a laptop the HP Stream =\ bought it and boy did i waste my money it droped like 100$ on amazon in a week --- Post updated --- Here is a link to what I bought thank god they discontinued it like a month later, Can't even run minecraft at 2fps on LOWEST POSSIBLE https://www.amazon.com/Discontinued-HP-11-r010nr-11-6-Inch-Processor/dp/B015CQ8SGE
HP Pavilion dv9000 with a Core 2 Duo These things were built awfully and ran hotter than just about anything else ever I had one that would thermal throttle just booting up but I do have to give them this the screen on that laptop was fantastic
Acer Aspire Z3770 (2011) 3GB DDR3 RAM i5-2400s Integrated Graphics Windows 7 Crappy HP Webcam Bloatware Annoying Touchscreen Loud Fans (my one rattles too) Fat Runs like complete garbage Good screen though (I don't use this, it just sits downstairs gathering dust)
I've got a GX260 Under my legs right now. It's had 15 CMOS Replacements since 2002. I replaced it recently still complaining that it's flat and cant remember the time. I'd quite happily say those machines can do nothing today. not even a media player, since i haven't bothered to upgrade it's ram to 2GB from it's stock 256MB people said they've had luck running Windows 7 On 2GB RAM But there's very few GPU's that go in this machine and can run the aero theme. Windows 8 And 10 are out the Window since P4 systems have some sort of thing that anything newer than 7 needs. Enough about that shitbox now lol
my high school's computer has intel i5-4750 @3.2 GHz and intel hd 4000 graphics. i wonder how it will run BeamNG.drive?
Decent. Should do fine, but the graphics may suffer. Meanwhile, my school had old Celerons that were retired during the summer, and replaced with newer HPs. I'm not sure what the CPU is. All I know is that they run Windows 10 and are likely Intel.
