Intro + My opinion on the game Now having played Rigs of Rods for quite a while and always getting a very satisfying ,crash, haul, race or whatever I'm doing, I'm very excited and really want to play this game. I would quite happily pay up to ?35 just to get a beta of the game and get access once the game comes out. Any enough of my opinion and lets get to the point. This really does look the game I've always been looking for as I found Rigs of Rods a little to glitchy / buggy. What I would like to see and use Being a real petrol head (don't know what you Americans call vehicle lovers) I love motorbikes just as much as many other land vehicles and would love nothing more than to see a bike or two in this game. I know that it would be hard to integrate considering you need a rider that must turn into a ragdoll when hit hard enough and the balancing of the bike would probably be the hardest part. Modern Bikes I was thinking maybe something like a modern superbike like a Kawasaki Ninja ZX10-R or something along those lines. Maybe even a completely new bike designed in a similar way to the Gavril series and other things by Gabester. This would really make this game quite honestly the best game ever, me being a bit of a nerd of course. Old Bikes Also, I would like to see something older perhaps 1960s - 1970s or maybe even older like a WWII (1930s - 1940s) bike and for that matter perhaps a sidecar to go with it. Conclusion I really am so excited about the game and have used the word 'really' alot but I can't really put in to word just how much I want to play this. Like I've said before I would happily pay ?35 to play this game and hope to see more content than just cars and crashes but would be happy with that. I've told many friends about the game and got them into playing RoR around where I live and with friends across seas. I've put about 10 mins putting this into words and hope you have read it. Thank You.
I've made a similar thread but for who knows what reason its not showing anything I wold love to see bikes in beamNG moastly dirt bikes and speed bikes
i have been in a motorcycle crash so i have experence in how they would deform i also have pics but we need bikes in beamng and i would be happy to test because i know what bikes feel like
Well, quite recently, Davded, on the RoR forums, figured out a really ingenious way of making motorcycles and actually getting them to balance rather realistically. So, if I make an assumption that at least every feature in RoR will be in BeamNG, then I would assume that making Bikes is entirely possible... even if it isn't the easiest thing in the world to do. For those of you who haven't read it yet http://www.rigsofrods.com/threads/95634-Motorbike-tech-demo-and-tutorial As for the type of bikes... well that is just up to the creator of the vehicle, whether it be Gabester, or some other modder, any bike, no mater how old, new, real, or imaginative it is. If it can be made it real life, it can be made in this game. And here in America, we are called Motor heads or Gear heads
Well even some form of adding a force to the bike when a button or axis is moved. I could incorporate that into a method of balancing the bike and make a bike myself. We could add parameters that we could change to suite the bike like if I move and axis a certain way it will add force to the vehicle on a certain spot or across the bike. This way we could turn one way but lean the other which would be handy for doing trials. It would be pretty awesome. Not only that but we could use the same method on cars for if we want to make a Hollywood movie just add a large amount of force on the rear bottom of the car and flip it straight over. It would be fun making cars do backflips and frontflips. Personally I think this is an awesome idea rock crawling, hill climbing, you name it. Using this method of balancing you could crawl most things. You could even balance the bike on one spot if you had a gamepad. Use the left stick to turn and the right to move the weight / force around the bike and balance it. If you play MX vs ATV Reflex there is a similar method although I don't really think they got it right. The concept is good the execution of it is pretty bad it doesn't work how it should do. The physics in the game isn't right either. Thanks for reading by the way. Rant over.
Nice bump. But that aside, With lua and a weight shifting in the place of the driver, It will be possible to make the bike balance, quite easily. And bikes would be really nice to see.
I wasn't aware of this thread about motorcycles Maybe the following link from vehicle suggestions thread that i replied, belongs here. Please read and correct me if i 'm wrong: Vehicle-suggestions
