i am very new to 3ds max or any modeling program out.
here is a work in progress.
this is my first build so help and advice would be nice.

inb4: oh lawd that backwards ass mesh

my plan is to make a 2wd and 4wd variant with multiple fiberglass shells and parts like lights, wheels, and possibly a more powerful engine.

 

Looks good to me! I'm not a modeler, but you might want to use a smoothing tool. IDK

 

Looks a bit weird that the "hood" is completely flat but other than that it's pretty neat.

Also when you're doing the 4wd version, please make actual drive shafts go to the front wheels. People never did that for trucks like this in RoR and it always annoyed me.

 

It annoyed you that they were done correctly? Trophy trucks in real life are rear wheel drive, there would not be any drive shafts going to the front tires.

 

No, he's saying 4wd trucks had no driveshaft in the front.

 

I know very well that trophy trucks are rwd...

The people who made them for ror made the models well and realistic, but still made them 4wd in the .truck file. What I mean is, if this is gonna be 4wd at least make some actual drive shafts going to the front wheels.

 

i already have that done.

something i should oint out is that this truck is going to have a fully independent suspension. front and rear.
another thing is that the shell you see here is just a concept i wipped up in a day. the actual body shells are going to be a lot different.

 

c'mon devs, get these people a truck file, we need to have these ready for the beta.

Then all the noobs will make cars like this: o-----o and call it a "motorcycle" or someting just to get an early beta.

i'm canadian. although you could say i'm north american

 

America = continent, United states = country. Although I was meaning USA, I didn't know Canadians say trucks too
