I have it installed (old version too), but I am hesitant to use piriform software these days due to the whole CCleaner issue. That however is less worrying to me than them being owned by avast.
I use ultra-defrag, it might not look pretty but its very useful and has a few interesting functions (like you can move all the free space to the end of the drive)
To be honest I completely forgot about what happned with Piriform and the malware, I don't think it affected Defraggler though.
Haven't restarted my PC in about a month now, so beam gives an "80% memory used" warning every time a launch it now. I probably should restart it.
How do you even manage leaving it that long?! I thought I was bad for sometimes leaving it just a couple of days... I can feel better about myself alittle now atleast
I'm lending a friend a GPU, as he is running on an IGPU from 2011. His power supply is 250watts, the CPU is 95, and the GPU is 85. Is there any risk of overloading the PSU?
It should be fine. The most the PC will probably draw with everything else considered will be no more than 200W
Oh yeah, Creators Update. Well, that took longer than expected, but my machine is running smoother than ever now I FORGOT FALL CREATORS UPDATE FIXES THE PERFORMANCE ISSUES! FPS HAS DOUBLED!
Broke my tablet screen, so now I have no mobile devices that work properly or good enough, excellent! I cant be bothered paying £70 for a new screen when a new tablet costs £120 and besides there is no point considering a Chinese tablet will be much better
8.1 vs Windows 10 now Which is better? I need to know because I am gonna have a Windows 10 drive for my PC
Yeah true that, my phone is just mind mind knumbingly slow, like a Nokia is faster at what the Samsung can do but Facebook Messenger is the only reason I use the phone instead. Really annoyed about these digitizer u get off amazon or whatever they almost always do not work and I don't really want to keep sending them back every time, I'd say my red laptop is a bit more of a priority than the tablet tbh but 3/4 screens I have gone through don't work or have Phantom touch. The issue is that the screen takes most of the force, like I simply opened the laptop but it opened fully and I pushed it just a bit more, most laptops have a bit of give but the tablet portion bended a bit and so the glass shattered. Poor design really as the screen is near enough the only thing holding it together
Aside from all the new scummy Microsoft stuff, Windows 10 isn't actually that bad. You also get the benefits of DX12 and the Win10 exclusive games, if those interest you. Windows 8 isn't a very good OS, in my opinion atleast. For a start, it's not very user friendly. They made it with the idea of people on tablets having an easier time. But they seem to have forgotten that people without tablets would be using it too. That, and you don't realise how much you used the start menu until you no longer have it...
The last time I opened the start menu was IDK when. I have like 7 programs in my taskbar, 3 I never uses (edge, Cortana, steam), just there cause it looks good.
That might be part of my problem then. I don't have more than a couple icons on the taskbar at a time, because I just think it looks messy. But at the same time, I always have my desktop just completly full of junk (I once managed to completly fill up the screen on my laptop...) I tried cleaning it up once, and even got it down to just 3 things on there. Now though, it's disgusting. I have no hope...
7 icons messy? I'm a minimalist, with only 4 folders on my desktop, nothing in my start menu, taskbar has almost nothing, heck, any folder has about 20 sub folders for organization. How is that messy?
