TL:dR Want a prebuilt PC that wont break the bank

Christmas is almost upon us. Parents want some ideas of what I would like. I currently use a laptop for my "pc gaming". This is ok to a point. The issue is that with more and more high end mods and me wanting to start making "movies" means that the laptop is no longer a viable thing to use. Especially when it only just manages to run Beam on less detailed maps, with only one car and on the lowest settings with 11FPS.
So suggestions for a cheap but still good PC? (£500 ish)

Learning how to build it yourself is a cheaper alternative and a great learning experience.

My i7 4790 pc with a gtx750(1gb) and 8 gb ram runs this game with decent settinfs at 1080p at 40fps, 33 while recording with Shadowplay. So I would recommend something like this but with a better gpu. GtaV runs very poorly. Hope this helps a bit.

I had a quick look on PC specialist and you can get the following for £495:

AMD Ryzen 3 1200 (quad core)

    8GB DDR4 RAM (2X4)

    1TB HDD

    2GB Radeon RX550

    2X120mm fans

This isn't as powerful as an equivalently priced used system would be though and does not include Windows.

A good way to save money would be to get the right GPU from Cash Converters/Ebay/CEX (you can get good value for money if you know what to buy) as it's plug and play for GPUs.

Just make sure you unplug the PC first if you do this.

You could also get a store bought non OEM copy of windows 7 off Ebay cheap.

I just picked up my Ryzen 1700x, 8GB RAM, 1060 GTX, 1 Tb HDD, Win10 for $759 (less because I had a coupon, so I am not counting that in the price) and I saw it recently for $899. It was prebuilt, yes, but pricing out everything separately, the system was closer to $900. You don't ALWAYS get it cheaper by doing it yourself, especially with black Friday/Christmas deals going on... It was this one here: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...cm_re=cyberpower_ryzen-_-83-230-273-_-Product
