    Hi,

I want to use my Thrustmaster T300 wheel in Beamng, but it is not recognized in the control settings. The wheel is working fine in other games, but I simply can't get it to show up in the Hardware tab. Can you please help me out?

    Thanks!

Do you have the drivers installed?

Make sure you close all thrustmaster driver panels, as well as windows own control panel configuration windows, before you start beamng. Let me know if that fixes the issue

Sadly, that didn't fix the problem either.

Did you have the steering wheel plugged at the time of sending the support request? If that was the case, can you please retry sending the report again, with the wheel plugged?

I did have it plugged in, yes. Here is the new report: 25694

The wheel also does still work with other games, I just started Assetto Corsa to be sure.

That is very weird, because neither directx-diagnostic tool nor beamng can see the device plugged in.
    Can you please do this:
    - Make sure the wheel is plugged in
    - Press the windows key combination: win+R
    - Type dxdiag
    - Click OK
    - Wait a few seconds for the tool window to appear
    - Go to the Input tab
    - Try to locate your steering wheel in the DirecInput Devices list.
If it appears, please take a screenshot of it, then click "Save All Information...", and send me the file (you can open a private conversation with me if you prefer to not post the image and txt file publicly).

If it doesn't appear, then that's the problem, directX itself doesn't recognize the wheel for some unknown reason.

Thank you. Let's follow the conversation there, in case we need to exchange more information again. I will post back here any possible solution we find, so everyone can see.

For anyone reaching this thread with similar issues, they are solved following these steps:
    - Open Steam
    - Go to the View menu, Big Picture Mode.
    - Click the Settings icon on the top right corner
    - Go to Controller > Controller Settings
    - Uncheck at least the Generic and Xbox support options. Preferably turn them all off.
    - Go back, exit Big Picture Mode.

All your devices should now be recognized properly within BeamNG.drive.
