"Fatal error: GPU did not respond" I figured it's probably an issue on my end since it's a 5 year old laptop that never meant to be used for gaming, I just find it really strange that this only happens when loading WCUSA from the free roam tab. All other maps and ways to load up the map work fine and don't even take long to load anymore. No other signs of GPU issues, I think but am not sure that all the drivers and such are up to date. (Using a Nvidia 745M)
I meant is your windows up-to-date, which is a yes. I have a 4 year old windows laptop and it plays beamng with no errors. Could be your gpu out-of-date possibly.
Update on the WCUSA loading error: Updated my drivers, didn't touch anything else. Steam decided on its own to reinstall some files for BeamNG and now I can load into the map from the free roam tab. Just updated them last week, which is why I didn't think that was the issue. I did the steam files integrity check after yesterday's update and it didn't fix anything, so I doubt this was fixed by whatever steam decided to do. Anyway, everything is working fine now, thanks for reminding me to check the drivers and motivating me to actually do something about this, I was planning on just dealing with loading it from scanarios every time
Rolling around the WCUSA map I noticed that some roads are blocked. Yes, I know that this is done specifically to ensure that the gaming does not feel clenched in the territory, but still ... ... suddenly in the future we are waiting for a small addition to the map? Personally, I would like to see an analogue of the Sillicon valley in BeamNG.drive.
I bet someone has already noticed this but on some of the highway overpass things the stripes in the middle should be white because yellow is used to divide oncoming traffic.
