As I said in the title, most of the time, I load West Coast, i'm stuck at 15 fps. Sometimes, I load normally at 60 but when I change vehicle, I go back to 15 fps. This is the first time it happens, I run Utah map at 60 fps with dynamic reflections. I tried to run ins safe mode and it didn't change. Also I tried to change all the graphics to the lowest possible (in 1920x1080) and I was still stuck at 15 fps.

    Can you do this:
Go to options > user-interface > enable 'Advanced Mode'
In the sidemenu there should be a new button named 'PERFORMANCE'
Press it. Then click the 'Hide UI for 10 seconds' button on the top-right corner.
Wait until the UI returns back, then press ALT+O and paste the link for the image here.

One before the lag, and one while it lags.

I'm not sure if this error has been fixed, but I am having the exact same thing happen to me. Usually occurs after I alt tab out of BeamNG and then alt tab back in. Occasionally I spawn in the map with 15 fps and occasionally when I alt tab back in it will remain at the usual 35-40.

    i7-6700HQ (2.6GHz Core, 3.5GHz Turbo)
    Nvidia GTX 960M 2GB
    16 GB RAM DDR4
    1920 x 1080 Display
    Windows 10
Samsung M.2 SSD 960 EVO 250 GB (I have another SSD, but BeamNG files are on that one)
Link to full specs - https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GE62-6QD-Apache-Pro/Specification

Also note that this is a laptop, and that the only non stock modification is the SSD's, the original drive was a horrible 1 TB HDD but it went bad so I replaced it.

If you want I can also provide the graphs and data about the lag, but I am assuming it will be pretty similar.

Thanks for helping I really appreciate it, keep up the great work!!!

@Blue_Tree Do you have Vsync enabled (either on SMART or ON)?

Yes V-sync was enabled. I disabled it and try to load the map. I spawned normally at around 40-45 fps but when I changed vehicle, I went back to 15 fps

I think I might have the same problem: if I spawn into the map for the first time, everything is fine and I have a normal, steady fps and the game is playable. But as soon as I change vehicle (doesn't really matter which one or where) the fps drops and the game becomes rather unplayable. This problem only occurs on West Coast.

    System specs:
    i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20GHz
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
    8GB RAM
    Windows 10

    All mods are deactivated.

    Here are the screenshots:
    Without lag

    With lag

(Sorry if these screenshots are violating any forum rules, haven't been here in quite some time)

I simply spawned in, let the car idle for the first picture (didn't touch anything) and then when the graphs were full I changed cars and let that car just idle (again, didn't touch anything).

I hope my information was also helpful, if you have any questions about my settings, specs or whatever, just ask.

don't know how much this helps, but I have the same problem and it seems to happen on only west coast USA.
my specs are i7 2600, GTX 670 and 16gb of ram and
i3 4170 GTX 950 and 8gb of ram depending on where I am
It goes from 40+ fps down to 9-10 fps
it seems quite random as sometimes it happens right when i spawn in or sometimes I can switch cars multiple times without a problem.

What for me helps is to turn the lighting option to lowest. That gives me 50 fps, while anything above lowest gives 15 fps.

    Specs:
    Code:
    Ryzen 1700x
    32 GB ram
    AMD HD 7850 2GB

yeah it seems if i put all my settings to lowest it improves them to about 35 fps but still quite poor considering i would get about 45-50fps when it isn't bugged out.

I can barely spawn on West Coast USA. It worked fine once on launch day (after 5 attempts) and I got 45-50fps in the downtown area, but now every single time I try to load the map it takes forever, and when I spawn I'm doing 1-5fps, I always have to ALT+F4.

But here's the thing, I ran the map on low, and it still did 5fps, but running it on lowest, I get 135fps on fraps. Don't know if it'll be of any help.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that after a while even on the lowest settings the fps start dropping.

I know this thread is very old but Im still having the exact same problem when trying to play West coast, all maps run at around 60-80fps, my CPU is an i5-4460 and my GPU a GTX 960 2GB. Usually takes me 2-3 car switches and the game is capped at 17 FPS, whilst previously running on around 45-60 FPS Medium settings.
