    Hey I usually increase engine power and what not by unzipping the car file folder.

    But now it doesnt work anymore? the car doesnt load at all anymore as unpacked.

    How do I mod the text files now?

    Did you put the car mod in a unzipped folder or a zipped folder?

    I use the vehicles folder located in My Documents/BeamNG.drive/

    Its either created automatically for configs (I believe anyway,) or you can create it manually.

    Its basically a mirror of the Core vehicles folder located in Steamapps/common/BeamNG.drive/content

    Loading mod projects from here should still work.
    Beware that clearing cache can mess with files put here. Back up your work. Also note that in future game versions this may no longer be supported.

    Also beware that in 0.11 your files must have unique file names, they can no longer be using default vehicle names, otherwise the default game files will take priority.

    I unpacked the "hopper.zip" to a folder and place it in content/vehicles as I always done. Doesnt work anymore.
    Dont know what you mean I dont mod anything only change parameters in the engine text file etc.

    Something changed with the new patch?

    Well, there is an option in the main menu to unpack mods so that you can work on them if that is what you mean... I would upload screenshots, but, alas, I am at work... seemed to work fine yesterday for me though?

    what you should do is create a folder path like this: /documents/beamng.drive/mods/unpacked/[whatever you want to call it]/vehicles/hopper/.
    after this, COPY and paste the hopper_engine.jbeam to here, rename the file (e.g. hopper_engine_jajjaa.jbeam) after this, open it (in notepad or notepad++, then change the part name on line 2, e.g.
    "hopper_engine_i6": {
    to
    "hopper_engine_i6_custom_Jajjaa": {
    then, for convenience's sake, do something similar with line 5
    "name":"4.0L I6 Diesel Engine",
    to
    "name":"Jajjaa's 4.0L I6 Diesel Engine",
    after this, you should be able to make the changes as you have, and can select this engine separately from the part selector.
