For me 69-14 charger then 15-xx challenger (next gen delayed until at least 2020 which I'm fine with tbh, I like the look of the current one)
Alright, this might seem to you guys like a bit of a troll post (even though it's my honest opinion), so... I prefer the Charger more than the Challenger, but if I had to pick one Charger, one Challenger, and one Daytona, I'd pick these... Charger: '67 with the 383 4bbl intake and the 4-speed manual... ...or the '86 GLHS. Challenger: '82 with the 2.6L "Hemi" L4 and the 5-speed manual. Daytona: '88 Shelby Turbo Z. Yes, I'm weird by liking the first Charger, a couple of weird turbocharged FF monsters, and a rebadged Mitsubishi, but these are what the Charger, Daytona, and Challenger had become by the '80s, and I like the more compact versions of these cars than either the B-body versions or the modern versions.
I'm a huge Charger fan, have been since I first saw Bo Duke wheel the General Lee years ago. In fact I spent two years trying to find a modern Charger with the drivetrain and luxury options I wanted, finally did get my dirty little hands on an absolutely pristine '13 R/T (my favorite bodystyle since the OG '68-'70). My personal opinion of the Challenger is a bit lackluster, never cared for it, reminds me of a 'Cuda look-alike that isn't nearly as sexy.
As a Mitsubishi Galant Lambda, I think it's a nice car. As a Dodge Challenger, I think it's embarrassing for Dodge to downgrade it like that. Though it's probably not as bad as the 75 - 78 Charger, which was pretty much a luxury land yacht, instead of an all powerful muscle car. I don't think it's a bad car, I just think that it's kinda awkward to make it a Charger. It's like making the Camaro a minivan for some reason. It doesn't make sense to me. As for what I think, I love both the old Charger and Challenger equally. I probably like the modern Challenger more than the Charger, though I think it's nice too. I think that the modern Challenger captures the original spirit much more than the modern Charger does.
I'd take a 1970 Challenger. Despite my preference for the charger's looks, the challenger is smaller, lighter, and has a better interior so I'd take it Build quality doesn't look too bad either, considering these are chrysler products, and anything made by chrysler tends to be pretty much slapped together.
