Hi, I have an old i5 4690 at 3.5Mhz with 16GB and a MSI GTX 1050ti 4GB and on the benchmark of the game it's score tjat it can run 9 cars at the time. But I'm going for a rayzen 5 1600 and a radeon rx580 with 8GB. I'll get it this week so soon I can tell how it performs

Ram usually runs slower than advertised unless you change bios settings.

I am sure its running at 3066, i can take a snap of task manager to show you if you want. 3200 is supposedly capable but i cant get 3200. i set the voltage one notch before red and 3066. any higher it crashes, the ram i am using is (MD16GK2D4320016AXR). i had to update my bios before i could ethernet to work too.

I use an RX 580 8GB, and it runs the game very well, considering that I'm gaming with a 12-core Xeon machine.

It's definitely pretty good for the money, and will probably still do BeamNG pretty good, but I'm not sure if you'll be able to still ramp all the settings up like you would if it were a 1060.

Also, an SSD will probably do things such as making the vehicle selector, or loading into maps quicker. But that's probably the extent of it for BeamNG. If you put your OS on it, then starting your PC up is literally a night and day difference with how much faster an SSD is. There are also certain games that for no reason (Except being poorly optimized) like to just destroy my HDD (Looking at you Forza...) so an SSD will probably be good for those games

My build has a MSI GTX 1060 (6gb) and an i5 7500. Its a very strong setup, I just wish I had went with 16gb instead of 8gb for ram.

as long as you have extra ram slots, ram is something you can always add more of.

Can you run the game at 60FPS, with highest settings? I have a GTX 1060 and almost want to stick it into a cheap build, for BeamNG. I'm tired of having to dual boot on my main machine.

For the most part... I believe I'm running the recommended settings/ preset that was loaded when I first ran the game... I know that I disabled all the postfx options and partially disabled shadows just to keep things smooth. I do have dynamic reflections on... I'll get a proper look and screen shot tomorrow, but the testing area gets 60+fps up to 3 cars... Eca gets 50-60 with 1 or 2 cars (need more ram) and wca has not been below 45fps in the city (I'll give it some leeway with how new it is)... If you need a budget build and plan on playing more then just beammg, the 1060 is a solid choice (coming from Intel integrated graphics).

Thanks! Looking forward to seeing the shots. I personally have both a GTX 1060 and an AMD RX 580 8GB. The AMD card, however, has wonky default settings which have been causing it to crash within BeamNG. I changed the temperature threshold, which allowed me to game for much longer; however, it eventually did result in a crash. I think it also may be an inherent issue with the drivers themselves. Granted, with the original drivers, from the disk, I don't remember having any issues. I might try a wipe and re-installation of the original drivers + possibly revert to Windows 7.

In any case, as I mentioned, I'm growing tired of dual-booting (as the machine with the RX 580 is a Mac Pro tower), so I was thinking of obtaining my friend's old i5 and motherboard. Not sure what model the CPU is, but I do know that it's from 2013. I'm curious how it would do when paired with the GTX 1060 6GB. (I'll ask him the model # of the i5 and update my post.)

Funny as I initially wanted a RX580 until supply dried up, I just barely managed to get my 1060 (6gb) for MSRP. I know the pain of bootcamp as my poor MacBook Pro ran windows 10 for quite a while (and I got 30fps on low!). I have an i5 7500 (7th gen, released earlier this year if I remember correctly) and it suits my system needs well. Have my settings posted below, I unfortunatly cant run 1080p because my "free" monitor maxes out at 1440x900.

Hi! sorry the delay!, yes I got An SSD but just to run windows. The game i just have it in a normal HHD.
But BTW, I just mounted my new machine!, Ryzen 5 1600, 16GB Ram and a PowerColor Radeon RX 580 Red Devil and I am pretty happy with it. I can run 18 cars now it says the benchmark.
