MAIN MENU GPU USAGE PROBLEM

ive noticed that when ever i'm at the main menu of beam NG, my gpu usage and temperature sky rockets! but when i'm ingame on a very high usage map, it runs fine. my pc will go from 55 deg to 80deg in seconds, only at the main menu, ingame i runs at 55 deg to 70 deg, but i would have to be pusing my pc really hard to do that! something in the main menu is causing a graphical error and killing my pc, this needs to be fixed!

 

Probably the menu is using 100% GPU and the game itself isn't because you are CPU limited (or limited by some other thing)... There isn't anything wrong with the game, your computer is supposed to handle 100% load in all components (my graphics card doesn't go over 65ºC even at 100% usage with furmark at 20ºC room temp)

 

hmmm, i don't beleive that my cpu is limiting me, most of the time while i'm playing games my cpu is at 50% and my gpu is 100%, but, where i live my room temp is around 30*C and my pc idles at 60*C

 

Most games arent that CPU intensive, they are GPU intensive. BeamNG unlike most however is heavily CPU intensive.

What CPU do you have?


The usage increase on main menu but not in game is odd though, happens on my laptop too.

 

it's normal. the usage with my GTX560 is always at 90-100%, It stays at 100 in the main menu.

 

80ºC isn't that high for a GPU anyway
