I really liked the original, off-road oriented model. That diesel engine is pretty much bulletproof and it can propel that box pretty much everywhere you want, but that's the only thing it's good at. Then MB thought it was a good idea to stick a V12 in it, and the rest is history. Let's face it, they nailed it. They built a luxury SUV out of a crappy utility jeep from the 70s, saved up a lot of money on design, and continued using this outdated design since then. Just take a closer look at it, it looks like it's cobbled together with whatever parts they could find, everything is an after thought and poorly designed, and they charge a quarter of a mil for it. And seeing their new models for 2018-2019, I'm starting to think that Mercedes Benz is the Eletronic Arts of the automotive industry.
