Also, I just registered 18 months ago. Year-on-year, it's safe for me to say the forums have gone further downhill.

 

It seems the user-base on this forum has become a lot more diverse. With BeamNG becoming increasingly popular, different groups of people were drawn to this community. Having lurked here since 2013, I can say with confidence that the quality of the discussion on this forum has gone through the floor, ever since the OG members left.

All the brightly colored thumbnails with exaggerated scenarios from annoying youtubers pandering to small children (the only audience their mediocre humor can actually entertain, if you ask me...) have drawn lots of immaturity to the forums, while at the same time the reallistic and in-depth customization, both in-game and outside of the game, has brought in the modder and programmer crowds, whose sheer talent has allowed them to continuously create bespoke, painstakingly crafted, high-quality content for the game, and give the "Mods" section on this website its distinctive quality.

It seems though, the constant, slowly growing presence of the relentless hordes of vapid children coming to this forum, from the latest "TOP 10 CRASHING GAMES" video has far outweighed the sheer talent, dedication and creativity of mod makers like NinetyNine! , CrashHard, Djplopper, SergentFido, mike94 and many others. Despite the non-stop flow of high quality content, I can't help but to feel my IQ drop every single time I see the latest "plz add airbags!!1" thread.


Sorry if I sound too critical, but this has been a slight frustration of mine as of recently. I'm not blaming the "immature children" for the general decline of the discussion in this forum, since I know for a fact I was even worse as a child than most of the similarly-aged individuals on this website, having contributed several of my own low-quality threads to other forums in a different time. I just feel a bit disappointed seeing as the target audience for BeamNG.drive seemed much more mature initially, and nowadays it is what it is :/

 

A year was enough to change the forums from mediocre to catastrophic.

You can guess everything got changed when kids like @TheMultiTuber and @Flippi 284 was joined after 2016.
