Yeah you're right it is too late Gavril was my choice due to 1; Gavril, from the wiki, is supposedly the in game equivalent to Chevrolet or Ford, and 2; I am using the Gavril Barstow as a parts bin for the Engine, interior components, mirrors, and a few trim pieces here and there. Not yet, currently waiting on atv_123 to do something. Its at that point where I am trying to work out all of the little flaws in the JBeam and whatnot. Then I need to add a couple final things and then make sure it's not completely broken for other people. There's still quite a bit to do in the tweaking department, so I don't expect anything to be completely done until after the new year. In the meantime I am also still waiting on skins from the skins artists to come in, whenever they're finished. I also have other things like my Mountain Highway project that need some attention too. When the car is not completely happy about landing a small jump for instance, that's something that needs to be worked on. I think you can all agree with me on that. I would rather release a mod that doesn't have the numerous issues that the Blue Collar has, instead of putting out a potentially broken mis mash of parts. Everything can be assembled and be stuck together, but it takes time to assemble something and get everything being happy with eachother, and working as expected. Gavril is said to be the game equivalent to Ford or Chevrolet. So I used it for this, Corvette replica so to speak. It's not (just) that I am in love with Gavril, it's that it made sense in this application of the brand name for the reasons I stated in the first section of this post.
Gavril Racoon fits well(i guess...) --- Post updated --- Anyway, nice work, and please give it love, it's a C3
Well guys, it may be official. Net neutrality in the U.S might be going away. If my I.S.P (spectrum) charges more for me to be on here, i'm not gonna be here for a long ass time (or at least 3 years). On Topic: this thing is looking awesome man. Can't wait for it to come out. Any chance you'll keep doing stuff to the blue collar after this is done? A trophy Truck with an older body needs to happen.
Off-topic; I wouldn't worry too much about the FCC rules, I did some research, read some of the legal stuff driving the current Net Neutrality debate, some of the stories and op-eds and whatnot, and I think alot of this is being exaggerated for political reasons, though it's still a force to be reckoned with. It won't be an apocalypse. Net Neutrality is not (properly) legally defined yet. When something is not legally defined, you can apply the term to just about anything and still call it "Net Neutrality". Usually it's not far out of context of intent, though in some cases it can be. Congress must pass Net Neutrality legislation in order to truly define what "Net Neutrality" legally means. If, and when Congress enacts Net Neutrality legislation, we (should) finally have a legal definition of what Net Neutrality means, and the rules they set forth will determine the future of Net Neutrality in a more concrete way. End of discussion. If you wish to continue it, mention me with @Driv3r1142 in offtopic. Lets not repeat what happened a couple weeks ago ok guys? Alright Anyway, Thanks for the compliment The Blue Collar will be completely redone, I hope it will be part of a much bigger 50s car pack project I want to do at some point. The Blue Collar as-is, became a nightmare to work on, with half of the files being stuck in like 3 separate .DAE files, models from my first years of modeling (bad poly flow) and absolutely no way to use the existing models and make proper UVs for everything without basically redoing all of my work. Idk when that will be, but it will be awhile before I get to it. After the Vendetta, I am considering doing a Regulation Nation Vendetta, a 1974-1982 model that will be completely fictious and original, and will represent what the american car companies were struggling with back in the 1970s and early 1980s. I am excited for this one, I hope I can eventually draw out the prints, and make it. It will use this platform, a modified C2/C3 Chassis, speeding up the JBeam creation process tenfold (Frames and suspension components are the worst when it comes to JBeam, the rest is cakewalk if you know what you're doing.) After the Regulation Nation Vendetta, if I do it, then I am off to explore other mod ideas. (Though I will NOT be taking suggestions.) As for the Vendetta, atv_123 is doing some tuning for me in a few fields where I absolutely suck in terms of JBeam (Engine tuning, Suspension tuning,) and hopefully that should be done soon, granted that he has time to spend doing this. Once he is done with his work, I still need to JBeam and model in a fuel tank, and tweak the rest of the JBeam so that if YouTubers do their crazy ass crash videos, this thing doesn't do anything visually stupid. One major issue is that I need to fix the car becoming slightly unstable when you have a hard impact. Currently, if you manage to crash really hard, either the front clip or the engine will push itself inside of a Collision Triangle, and since they can collide with things as for I have them set to do so, then you can get some strange results. I am still trying to nail down the cause of this one, but it shouldn't be too much work. There are others, that I am still working on but are not very major and don't need to be listed here.
Two days ago I fixed the steering. Last night I tuned and/or created standard, sport, and race sway bars, brakes, differential, and did some minor modifications to the suspension. Tonight I will add in some torque curves for the engines and then return it back to Driv3r1142...
Later tonight I should be getting back the Vendetta from atv_123 if all goes well and he can finish the engine tuning. Then it's fairly straightforward from there with the final additions and the rest of the fine tuning. Unless he explains otherwise what he has done, I will explain all of the things he has done when I get the car back. Until then, I wanted to "honor" the s**tpost above me for claiming the 426th post in this thread;
Okay, so I reworked the logo a bit, see if it will work for you. I don't know if you want red and blue, and the cross point may still be uneven. just let me know if you like it, and what you want me to tweak...
I will try it, though I will need to make it black and white; It's going to be a chrome badge. Logo is different enough. Though what would be cool, is if the V were made of pen holders and fountain pens. I intend to finish it I also like Corvettes. This has been an interesting project so far, and has really gotten me into the swing of BeamNG Content creation.
May I suggest something like this? The roof would be cool, but that would require some J-Beam work. I mostly just want the skin.
Can the Regulation Era Vendetta atleast look the same as this vendetta except with gigantic 5-mph bumpers?
That'd be up to the skins artists to decide to make one like that or not. I am working on the core of the mod atm, and don't have the skills for skin creation under my belt quite yet, though it is something I hope to change eventually. Maybe, though I also want to at least make something more original, after some of the criticism I have received here over my desicion to do a less original model here. We will see what I do when we get there.
I could try, but that skin seems kind of hard to do. If it doesn’t come out right I’ll go back to making a more basic race skin.
