Wow, want a dick moved for MSI. I'd probably just leave a review tending to the quality of their returns, an angry one that is. Are you just gonna buy another Mobo?
Hang on, thermal paste. What do I do with the thermal paste that is currently on my CPU? Do I have to take it off? Edit: I am not saying that I am removing my cooler right now. I am talking about when I go to replace the cooler when I get a new one.
I use a paper towel with achohol on it to get it off. NT-H1 is good and MX-4 is best. (Non conductive that is.) EDIT: 1,400th post!
I think your on the wrong thread lol. And I have a little of a history with MSi, its a good brand but im guessing they got sick and tired of me. MSi 6950, 1 bios tried flashing to 6970 failed miserably... Replaced by tiger direct Returns 1.. MSi 6950, died for some reason, sent to MSi.. replaced with 7950 free of charge Returns 2.. MSi mpower motherboard, gets molested in shipping.. MSi's responce:
I wasn't on the wrong thread. I seriously think we need to get in a Skype group, lol. My mom said that once we get rebates for my parts, then we can get a cooler, but I can get it a little earlier if it takes too long.
Off-topic: Where'd you get that Subaru? I'd love a link to it, unless it's a strict beta. On-topic: I can spawn around 7 cars getting around 10 fps, no screenshots cause I'm lazy.
Russians, and people can not link you to it because they steal gabesters jbeams and just haphazardly throw a new (usually poorly made) body on a covet or moonhawk.
I loved the Subaru I actually modified the jbeam some to support the cars design better and did some HP adjustments and tuning and made it more realistic. Sadly all of that is gone in a hard drive format forever ago
Default settings my PC can barely handle one car. If I tried max my PC would probably explode. On lowest settings My PC can hold about 5 before my computer looks like it is going to explode.
I can handle 1 car with 15-20 FPS. Decided to edit the post to show specs in case someone has something similar and is thinking about buying the game. CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2,33 GHz GPU Gigabyte GTX 650 1 Gb RAM: 4 Gb DDR2 800 MHz. Yeah I know... it is horrible. But I`ll be getting this setup within a year (hopefully) CPU: Intel Core i7 4770 3,4 GHz GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770 2Gb RAM: 16 Gb DDR3 1600 MHz Now that sounds like a beast of a PC
40 D15 at 4fps grid map at full settings(shadow's detail, you know) 1920x1080 res Spec i7 3930k asus rampage iv repuplic of gamers extreme 16gb 1666mhz corsair ram Evga gtx 780 3gb
It's not horrible. Your CPU is holding you back the most though. That GPU paired with a better CPU should get like 35 - 60 FPS with normal-high settings. My computer hardware is similar to your's in strength, but my CPU is faster than your's. As for the topic, as soon as I put 2 more cars in the mix, it gets too slow for my preference. It drops my FPS to 20. So, I'd say my computer can handle 2 cars at once.
Yeah, but since I`m buying a new PC anyways I`ll got with that beast I posted. I got GTX650 a year a go just so I could run BO2 decently, but now decided that the GPU is also weak for my demands so why not go for a monster that will crush anything I throw at it? Also anyone has any intel on the Steam release? I`m checking Steam/e-mail/forums every day for that announcement
I'm liking all the NZXT cases I've seen in this thread When I first saw the NZXT Phantom white case some 2+ years ago, I knew for certain that that was the case I was getting when I finally built my computer. I had pretty much everything I needed in my newegg wishlist, but didn't get around to actually building it until this past november (with a couple updated components) Nevertheless.....I can't say for certain since I never looked at the actual fps....but at one point I had 4...the derby moonhawk, 6.1tonne deathmachine, monstervan, and the covet on the grid map (not pure grid) and was running somewhere in the low 30's. PC specs are: Gigabyte 990fx-ud3 motherboard, AMD fx-8350 @ 4.0ghz (stock clock), MSI Twin-frozr GTX 760 oc edition (on stock oc), 8gb Corsair vengeance 1866 ram, Cougar CMX1000 1kw PSU, and of course....an NZXT Phantom 001 White full tower case...with plans for 16gb of ram, overclocking the hell out of that 8350, and either a 2nd 760...or selling it and getting a 780. Also I got a 2nd 200mm fan on the top, and a 140mm on the front......unfortunately I can't fit a 200mm on the side because the CPU cooler is just too tall....barely leaves enough room to close the side panel, lol...buuut the Cpu typically idles around 20-21 C .....Gpu around 27C. Under load the CPU typically gets to about 50C before the fan kicks up for a few seconds and it drops again....Gpu under load typically sits around 63-64C.....which is a huge improvement over the last rig I had, which had an 8800gtx and would typically hang around 79C >_> so I suppose I can make do without that 200mm side fan XD
I gave a dude a hand building his first PC for which he also opted to use a white NZXT phantom, I'm personally not a fan of the design (aesthetically that is) but then if you don't like it there are a million other cases out there to choose from. This guy though, he forgot to measure the height under his desk before ordering the case.... He had one of those stupid desks where the gap underneath for the PC has a small shelf for the PC to sit on, case was about 2" too tall
I did an interesting test.. I tested 12 Pigeons in the current release build, and 12 in the latest beta build. All settings maxed: Release build: 14 FPS Beta build: 21 FPS That may not seem like much, but when you have 4-5 vehicles, you really notice a difference. EDIT: Oh by the way, I also use an NZXT Phantom. Mine's black, with pretty red lights glowing the whole internals, and I can change the colour to whatever I want!
pigeon, lucky duck (Specs in my sig, will have graphics on lowest possible so as to get the best possible results, because, well, my gpu sucks) (resolution will be at default setting, so 1024x768 or whatever it is) 21 moonhawks on pure gridmap at 2 fps (game then crashed when i tried to leave the level editor, so no screenshot unfortuntley
I will get a sexy case like that when I have a lot of money to upgrade my PC with. Also, that is a 33% increase lol.
