I was looking through several threads and all, and I was wondering if we could implement a restoration system. By that, I mean finding abandoned vehicles in junkyards/garages and restoring them.
I like the idea. kinda like a barn car or something. There can be a certain number of cars and you have to find them and restore them. +1 support
Reminds me of Burnout Paradise. When you would find another street racer you would try to take him down/wreck him. Then his car would be in the junk yard and you would need to repair it and keep it.
Restoration cool get the moonhawk. With bad engine bad suspension old interior and dents. And take it apart and get new parts. Make it like new +1 for sure lets use the system to fix up cars. Even it its puting a new door on to fix dents.
Basically it's when you find an old classic car in a barn in real life, and noone remembered that car was there. They call it a barn-find as long as they find an old somewhat valueable car in a somewhat abandoned area, doesn't necessarily have to be in a barn obviously. Ie like this: (imported from here) A good example is a modified VW Beetle that was sitting beside the mainroad in Lithuania a few years ago. Any Lithuanians who saw the car thought it would be "Just another crappy old Beetle". Then a VW enthusiast noticed that the decklid and hood had square corners, something not found on normal Beetles: It was a pre-wartime 1938 prototype car, one of only 30 or so ever made, and there are only 3 of those still known to exist to this day, so when it was found, there was quite a hype around it in the VW-world, you can pretty much find a thread about it on any VW forum. It's now completely restored. Basically that's like, the ultimate barn-find
Yeah, and wear...So parts get old and break, and you have to change them It would be so much like SLRR... (Not saying that's bad)
+1 Support I would love the idea of this. I can imagine finding an old rusted muscle car and making it look to your liking.
This would actually be simple to make considering we have wear(and textures..) in the game, which would add REALISM, and are a nice feature. But I do agree that people want it to be everything, still, it can
Im actually fairly sure it will happen sooner or later. Remember that there will be alot of mods and lua stuff created by other gamers.
