Screen Goes Black when switching from full-screen to windowed mode

Hey guys, this is my first time making a thread here. As the title indicates, the problem I'm having has to do with going from playing the game in full screen, then clicking "Alt-Enter" to go into windowed mode which makes my monitor go black, causing me to have no control over my computer and having to do a hard turn off and start if all over again. This doesn't happen all the time (about once every four attempts) but it does get annoying when recording a video and having to go full screen with a whole set up of cars in the background only to have the screen go black and having to start all over again. Also this has become apparent since the last update of the game. Any help would be appreciated.

 

If someone could see this post that'd be great before I break my computer from turning it off and on again because of this issue

 

This Always Happen To me when this game Version still 9.x on Windowed mode

 

Thanks for getting back to me and I'm using borderless mode for now but if the black screen shows up again then I'll delete the settings folder as you recommended
