I thought it would be a good idea to have another frame with only one body, then just put on decals to look like a different car, almost like the late model and what NASCAR did with their earlier stages of today's stock cars...
i do plan on using this chassis to make more body shells based on different cars from the game. because all of beamng drives cars are so different from each other i cant really just change the stickers, i want to do the new pessima, the legran, the sunburst and the grand marshal --- Post updated --- this will most likely be after the initial release with just the d series shell
knowing that the planned release date is close is making me excited, yes I am patient and will wait months for this
I have considered using custom sounds but unless i can find samples wich are absolutely perfect i wont bother. Im not having this mod be ruined by poor custom sounds. If i do decide to have custom sounds it is something wich will not be implimented until after the initial release onto the mods repo --- Post updated --- The fmod sounds that beamng drive uses for the barstow and bolide ect sound pretty acurate once the engine is reved up to nearly 9000 rpm. It should sound fine --- Post updated --- Unless someone has some very high quality onboard recordings of a car with a nascar spec engine. Including a long recording of the car at idle speed and some loopable recordings from low, medium and hight rpm speeds that are to my satisfaction then im afraid you shouldnt expect to see custom sounds for this mod. As for the mod i have planned for next year... it may be more of a requirement...
couldn't you record Forza Motorsport 4 and add in those sounds? they got nascars in that game, there's also Forza 6, unless that's complicated and will turn out poor
I suggested this a few months ago https://www.beamng.com/resources/engine-sounds-for-custom-moonhawk.2019/ believe me when you get an engine that runs 8000RPM it sounds like a nascar...not sure about 9000RPM, never had an engine that goes that high in the Moonhawk, I have gone past redline on the 8000RPM engine I have in my custom Moonhawk, it has this weird rev limiter sound that doesn't really blend in to the rest of the sound, the limiter sounds awesome but it's just sudden, idk if that's going too be an issue since idk what RPM it does that at, it's either 9000 or 10000
