Whats with the bumpers?

The last update really ruined the game play for me. I mostly play the demolition derby mod. I'm not sure why, but the bumpers are like magnets to the wheels.Very frustrating and highly unrealistic. In addition to that the clutch heats up instantly and immobilizes the vehicle. For some reason most of the of the vehicles were nerfed and no longer have the power to become unstuck after a big hit. Is there any way I can play the older version of the game before these "updates"?
