The ratings as they used to be are only icons with neutral rating now. The ratings which are meaningful changing the members rating value will be restricted, yes
LOL and I LIKE is two reply people use without using rating so with or without rating nothing will really change
Hey disagree is back! Makes me want to post better content, since being a good member isn't about having a good post/upvote ratio anymore, it's about having a good post/upvote/downvote/report ratio. I love that you guys are finally solving my biggest gripes about this site, it will definitely make moderation easier and members happier
In my opinion The idea of having a good way of connecting the developers with the community, like the Forum is a great idea and it works. What I'd change is: Let the Dev's direct their time more to support threads/game development and let all of the spam and shitpost from forums be handled by some sort of a rank like Community support or sth. Community Support would be chosen from the BeamNG community and it wouldn't be a paid job, it would be more of a volunteer rank for the trusted members of the community. They would have limited rights tho, for example: If Community support would find a person who abuses the forum rules, it would mark him for ban and then one of the Dev's could let's say Approve or reject the ban (untill the Dev's decission, all of the new posts from the marked person would be moderated to avoid useless spam). Some of the Members of Community Support with a bit more in the way of modding knowledge could even help with approving of the mods.
Great, this opens up a whole new window for people to be jerks in. Friendly is okay, but unneeded in my opinion.
TL;DR version: ratings that count towards this will be given by trusted people only. The default normal ratings will not be counted towards the member's sum.
Took it down to avoid members fighting for ultimately meaningless positions of high ratings hierarchy.
rip my chances of getting on the leaderboard in all honesty, it was way too stressful. There were top tier members, and then there were the noobs.... and they got different privileges when it came to stuff like mods. I'm not sure its going to change the second part of what I sais in the last sentence, but I hope so
