Post reporting

Im gonna gave to disagree with you on this, (without using the Disagree button, i still dont like that) Modders really dont get "Privileges aside from betatesting mods that will eventually come out. Sure they usually will show off a bit, but i think really any of us would if we were betatesting like that.

 

I guess the mods fall into the wrong showoff hands. If it falls into, say, inertias hands, a screenshot of the mod will be uploaded onto community screens with the caption "lol xd" or "bb"
or even better, the all-sarcastic
"whe wil relez mod"

 

I did like seeing how many ratings i've received. shame it's going away

 

and id like to know birthday of members. That would be awesome if we can get a alerts about birthday of people @tdev

 

Are there plans for some of the items on the Members tab be readded?
i.e. Birthdays, New Members, Member lookup, recent activity, staff?

Also, one of the things I see people complain about is when others "likespam". Maybe putting a rate limit (similar to posting) on rating would discourage this.

What is it about the new disagree rating? When you disagree you should explain it anyway. So instead of rating it, just write: "I disagree with you, because..."

 

I think I can hear TDev internally screaming all the way from Germany.
Right so here is my take:
Ratings are good to be gone, don't matter anyway (besides it could say you are helpful or people rate *funny* to every post).
The disagree is good, but I don't think it will work well. It's not a button that stops flamewars (not a miracle). But it should be used.
If people disagree and want to justify then they can type a post. If they don't obey the forum rules give them a warning. Done and dusted.

I 9999%agree with u man.
I think......disagree button...is ...pretty...useless imo. It might start flamewars.

 

You also rated my demo derby config pack mod badly for no reason.

This will stop people from rating well-thought out posts they don't agree with. But honestly, I think it would be better to take down both 'Disagree' and 'Funny' options to prevent 'Funny' spam. If people see a good joke, they can just rate it 'Like' or 'Awesome'.
I'd keep only 'Like', 'Useful' and, possibly, 'Awesome'.

 

I am so disappointed in Tdev for removing the members tab...

What did the tab do to him to force him to remove it?

 

i mean its easy to make a simple derby you need to decide which car you want to turn into a derby vehicle open up the parts config menu remove stuff like windshield front grille bumpers taillight and paint the car in a color you prefer etc.

 

It's not that easy

@Ytrewq has put a lot of work to his pack..just like mine.
Messing with jbeam and stuff. It might take an hour! And u can't even remove the headlights and tailights for some cars!

 

Imagine doing that to 5-6 cars. How much time is it going to take? If you don't appreciate your (limited) lifetime, this doesn't mean everyone else does.
